Ptaki Mądrości (Birds of Wisdom)… Now, I shall tell a tale to God and all the Gods, however wise he and his men may be. The Eagle clutched with his talons onto a colorful Nightingale and bore her aloft into the clouds. When she wailed (cried out about his horrors on earth), pierced by the crooked claws, the Eagle arrogantly said:
“Wretch! why do you shriek? I am much stronger than you, singer though you are. I shall make dinner of you, if I so wish or I shall let you go.”
But foolish he, who sets himself against the stronger, for not only can he never win, but suffering is added to his great shame. …so spoke the Grandmother Thunderbird, flying down for her evening meal (the Eagle).
