By Phoenix of Elder Mountain – Greeting Dreamers, Moon People, Artists, Healers and Witches, we enter the Full Moon (Capricorn) on Saturday July 8, 2017 with a very powerful line up. Mars & Sun are conjunct, sitting opposite of Moon & Pluto which gives all of us some energy and will (mars) into the energy of transformation, death and rebirth (pluto). These are also in a T-Square (tension) with Jupiter (expansion and opportunity).
The awareness will have a heaviness over the next two weeks with that type of planetary alignment, therefor, positive detachment, keeping calm, breathing deeply and just doing your best with whatever situation arises will help. You can handle it, you have in your life thus far, all life is asking you is to take just one more small step this moon cycle.
The oracle for this moon is:
“Expectation is only a crisis for the…

By Phoenix of Elder Mountain –Greetings dreamers, artists and moon people, we enter the final Full Moon of Spring on June 9, 2017 in the sign of Sagittarius at 18 degrees. We finally made it to the last stages of the Spring Season. I teach the three moons of each of the four seasons in their perspective of what they offer us in the ways of our emotional growth, intuition and dreaming gifts.
The final moon of a season, is always the dark moon phase. This is where all things are revealed and a small amount of what is contained in our inner world is revealed (mirror medicines). Lunar work is very slow and steady, because our soul contains our eternal lives and energy from all of our past and our past lives, so its potent.
When you’re feeling anxious or worried; practice patience.
The key of patience always opens…

The Full Moon on 9 June 2017 falls at 18º Sagittarius decan 2 The Full Moon June 2017 forms part of what the Huber school called an irritation triangle. This can cause sudden fits of anger. Since Pluto and Ceres are plugged into the ‘irritation’, outbursts in the collective will reveal where there have been abuses of power in relation to children or the vulnerable. We could see where the unscrupulous have made money out of human trafficking.(Eg exploiting boatloads of migrants across the Mediterranean at a great risk to those migrants lives.)The fixed star for this Full Moon is Sabik, found in Ophuichus, a favorite of occultists.
Full Moon June In Sagittarius 2
This Full Moon June is great for natural healing, especially when it comes to women’s health, genetics and midwifery. Breeding and DNA are a theme here as the serpents symbol so closely resembles the double helix and the caduceus of Mercury is also highlighted. There is also a certain amount of deception too however… The forked tongue of the snake makes itself felt here in the form of jealousy or spiteful rumors. Sabik is problematic generally, so the lunar energy makes it hard for us to clarify truth from fiction. What is certain though, is the ability to conjure up fanciful stories! These tales are so dramatic and entertaining, that in the end no one cares if they are actually factual or not. Maybe the fiction contains an element of truth that is eternal, like a myth.
The Moon has some dignity in Sagittarius 2. One of its unique abilities in this position is to unify desperate elements together in order to fulfill as specific goal. Moon in Sagittarius 2 is rather like a blinkered horse. That way it won’t be tempted, or detracted by the forbidden fruit of temptation. Austin Coppock warns of Moon in Sagittarius 2’s “greater powers of concentration and focus.” as it also carries with it “the potential for monomania, and its gift of perseverance will fortify the fools quest as well as the sages errand.” At the same time I do think this Full Moon’s healing potential is best channeled into a single goal. Otherwise the Moon’s power here can sour Sagittarius 3’s healing medicine, if it is allowed to run amok and not funneled positively.
Full Moon June ~ Fixed Star Sabik
Now we will see why we have to be so careful with this Full Moon June’s magical potential. Sabik, is a star on the right leg of the Serpent Bearer or more famously the so called 13th sign Ophuichus. Generally “When Ophiuchus, encircled by the serpent’s great coils, rises he renders the forms of snakes innocuous to those born under him. They will receive snakes into the folds of their flowing robes, and will exchange kisses with these poisonous monsters and suffer no harm.” Robson doesn’t seem to like Sabik saying “It causes wastefulness, lost energy, perverted morals, and success in evil deeds.” These ‘evil deeds’ are probably to do with the use of magic as manipulative sorcery. But in the case of good-hearted seers who use the Tarot or other means of divination, including astrology, they should have the ‘success’ without them being branded as ‘evil’. Sabik’s potential for ‘evilness’ depends on which planet this star falls on.
Full Moon June 2017 Aspects
Moon opposite Ceres is the aspect equivalent to the Salvation Army, seeking to rescue those in the most need. Those touched by this Full Moon must be careful however, that their saving doesn’t turn into a savior complex. When this aspect warps, it warps big. At this time we can be the smothered or do the smothering. At the most negative, Moon opposite Ceres can be one of the narcissistic parent who engulfs their child to the extent that the child doesn’t even realize she is being abused.
Sun quincunx Pluto puts a quirky slant on Plutonian sexuality, but sometimes it can be downright kinky. Its strength comes from playing the lovable freak card. But those touched by this Full Moon could get quite obsessive in their need to be themselves at all costs. The collective mood at this Full Moon is one where one is are apt to play the fool and act rebelliously because it is empowering in a world were we feel disenfranchised. I’m thinking of 4Chan memes and such.
The Irritation triangle:
“This figure needs constant movement and stimulating activity. The energies stored in it are looking for a way to resolve the state of opposing forces, the blockage of energy flow and the rigid attitude they produce….the liberation of tension is a desperate longing. Sudden bursts of anger can arise as a reaction to external pressures. The defensive behavior does not last long, though, it is over quickly and forgotten again.”
Full Moon June 2017 Summary
Full Moons tend to make us purge and release things from our lives, so we need to make sure that we are in control of this and no one is forcing our hand! Sometimes we can let go of things that we regret later, due to heightened emotions and impulsive reactions. The bright light of the sun throws a spotlight on our lunar demons. In this Full Moon the shadow is extra dark with the stark shaft of light from the irritation triangle shining on Sun conjunct Ceres.
This Full Moon wound could show up where we have felt scarred, betrayed or tainted. The wound could come from family scandals, a problem with inheritance or an undesirable ancestral trait. On the other hand, having an overly-cosseted childhood can leave one ill-equipped to deal with the gritty reality of the outside world. The modern day demand for ‘safe spaces’ is a good example of how wrapping people up in cotton wool can diminish emotional robustness.

Scorpio Full Moon 20° in House 1
Sun in Taurus 20° in House 7
5:42 PM EDT
Our “Second Full Moon of Spring” begins Wed., April 10, 2017 @ 2:43 pm PDT and she sits at 20 degrees Scorpio with the Sun at 20 Taurus. Last year’s second full moon of spring was at 2 degrees Scorpio on April 20, 2016… do you remember what your sacred intention of release was last year? If not, check your dreaming-lunar journal to see how your release issue had progressed or you can start a dreaming-lunar journal with us, to see how moon cycles bring the same signs & synchronicity each moon cycle. You will be quiet surprised that the same symbols appear in each lunar unique cycle to guide you.
On the full moon, we learn the practices and sacred arts of “letting go” each month, which is not an easy journey considering we live in a world of acquisition, adventure and accomplishment of mind-body. Our soul takes a back seat until crisis strikes but we rarely hear her calling or we turn away hoping her mourning dove’s song will disappear. In this moon, the river runs very deep and the beauty of the day is to sooth our soul as we all grow up and mature, regardless of what age we are.
Shamanism is one of our closest links to our soul and had evolved from the previous dreaming cultures of woman. Our soul needs no plant to give us a vision, it needs no medicines to ease emotional pain, no outside sources or forces to give false vision. What our soul does need is for you to practice the reconnect of the “embodiment” of our soul, being grounded within and healing first the emotional issues in our life which is more hidden than you can imagine, even when its right in front of you. How do you listen to the soul? Well, this moon cycle…
This Full Moon Mercury & Uranus conjunct and this is a very specific unity. The listening and communication of Mercury, aligning with the deeper levels of Uranian listening and communication and that is when magical or chaos happens. An example is today I was washing my clothes and on the last spinning cycle when I heard someone drumming outside and thought they were pretty good. I stopped for a second and wondered if it was the washing machine? So fine I got up, opened the door and no one was drumming and I stood in front of the washing machine and sure enough, the rhythms of a master drummer were coming forth. Now that is deepest listening with the soul that is clear. I don’t use my Mercury (mind) to question such realities anymore of what occurs within vibrations, I just enjoy them now.
For those struggling this month, let chaos be your teacher, to teach you to let go and learn to stop swimming ‘up stream’. Chaos if handled well, contains suffering, but does not become your destroyer, because without it destroying you, you will evolve with practice of healing, into the unity of self-empowerment, authentic humbleness, a truth-saying grounded bitch and a silent warrior of spiritual strength (eventually). Commitment to being spiritual also includes being sober and sobriety and I speak this in my work because I work with the emotional body and the soul body and that is not like mind-body.
Our Soul (the ocean) is a small part our emotional body (the river), and by the processes of emotional balance, sobriety and a continual healing of your progressions of personal fear, we enter the “healing journey” to approach our fear, not run from it or throw our hands up and give up because we don’t get what we want in our life or spiritual life.
Set your one full moon emotional release on what does not serve your highest good this moon cycle without the reward system that we should be rewarded for suffering. This is how karma is paid in one moon cycle of a Scorpio Moon.

We’re now experiencing an Aries Sun / Libra Moon time. Is all fair in love and war? We’ll definitely find out; because we’re looking into the fairness of ours and other’s actions during the next 29 days…We’re not going to move away from the influences of Oshun for a good moment.
Welcome to the Libra-Oshun Full Moon of April, ruler of house 7 and archetype of Orisa Oshun and planet Venus. This Libra Full Moon resides in house 9, the house of higher law, and learning. This moon will alert our collective consciousness to express a need for personal, spiritual, and emotional clearing and cleansing, and to bring into existence both balance and harmony… This moon time will release more of our stored up hostilities… If we are mindful of the duality in nature of this Libra moon, both disruptive, and harmonizing we can decide how best we would like to work with these lunar vibrations…
This is our time to set boundaries and to honor the laws that govern those boundaries. This is that moon time which requires us to re-affirm our personal or group’s authority, to regain confidence, and self-worth.

First Full Moon of Spring (in Libra) is Monday, April 10, 2017 (11:08 pm PDT) – Set your ‘one’ full moon release intention, based on what surfaced from your New Moon Intention for the past two weeks. There are many various names each month for all the different full moons, and whichever you follow just try to keep it simple. The moon is about our very intimate and very personal nature, rather than cosmic (sun or solar).
Because lunar work is so intimate, it symbolically represents our “inner emotional life” so go out and just look at the moon tonight or tomorrow night and connect with the beauty on a personal level. You will recognize that she is quiet, gentle and simple. This is a great mirror for us in a world of movement, challenges or stress.
Moon is also symbolic for everything emotional that has happened to us, so for this month, its time again to honor who we are and find our ‘release’ of what no longer serves your highest good… to let it go, one full moon at a time.
Blessings on the Full Moon ~Phoenix
The April full moon is also known as the Full Pink Moon, which was named for the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox, one of the earliest flowers of the spring.
Spring has arrived, and the energy is moving into the action phase. The Moon is full with fertility, growth, planting, and it is now the time to sow new seeds (both literally, and figuratively). This is a time for earth magick, and that dealing with growth and fertility. This is a time to empower and encourage growth. Also, now is a great time to do spell work dealing with fertility, self-confidence, self-improvement, and for seeking knowledge and wisdom. It is now time to put to actions the plans made throughout winter. For gardeners, it is the time to empower seeds.

APRIL MOON FACTS AND FOLKLORE
A full Moon in April brings frost. If the full Moon rises pale, expect rain.
- On April 20, 1972, the lunar module of Apollo XVI landed on the moon with astronauts John Young and Charles Duke aboard. Thomas Mattingly remained in orbit around the moon aboard the command module.
- One day later, on April 21, 1972, Apollo XVI astronauts John Young and Charles Duke drove an electric car on the surface of the moon. It’s still up there along with some expensive tools and some film that they forgot.
- The period from the Full Moon through the last quarter of the Moon is the best time for killing weeds, thinning, pruning, mowing, cutting timber, and planting below-ground crops.
One of the most dramatic sights in the night sky—and inspiration for poets, artists, and lovers for millennia—full moons captivate us like nothing else.
Every month Earth’s moon goes through its phases, waning and waxing in its constant transformation from new moon to full moon and back again. Full moons occur every 29.5 days or so as the moon moves to the side of Earth directly opposite the sun, reflecting the sun’s rays off its full face and appearing as a brilliant, perfectly circular disk.
For millennia, humans have used the movement of the moon to keep track of the passing year and set schedules for hunting, planting, and harvesting. Ancient cultures the world over have given these full moons names based on the behavior of the plants, animals, or weather during that month.
January: Wolf Moon
Native Americans and medieval Europeans named January’s full moon after the howling of hungry wolves lamenting the midwinter paucity of food. Other names for this month’s full moon include old moon and ice moon.
February: Snow Moon
The typically cold, snowy weather of February in North America earned its full moon the name snow moon. Other common names include storm moon and hunger moon.
March: Worm Moon
Native Americans called this last full moon of winter the worm moon after the worm trails that would appear in the newly thawed ground. Other names include the chaste moon, death moon, crust moon (a reference to snow that would become crusty as it thawed during the day and froze at night), and sap moon, after the tapping of the maple trees.
April: Pink Moon
Northern Native Americans call April’s full moon the pink moon after a species of early blooming wildflower. In other cultures, this moon is called the sprouting grass moon, the egg moon, and the fish moon.
May: Flower Moon
May’s abundant blooms give its full moon the name flower moon in many cultures. Other names include the hare moon, the corn planting moon, and the milk moon.
June: Strawberry Moon
In North America, the harvesting of strawberries in June gives that month’s full moon its name. Europeans have dubbed it the rose moon, while other cultures named it the hot moon for the beginning of the summer heat.
July: Buck Moon
Male deer, which shed their antlers every year, begin to regrow them in July, hence the Native American name for July’s full moon. Other names include thunder moon, for the month’s many summer storms, and hay moon, after the July hay harvest.
August: Sturgeon Moon
North American fishing tribes called August’s full moon the sturgeon moon since the species was abundant during this month. It’s also been called the green corn moon, the grain moon, and the red moon for the reddish hue it often takes on in the summer haze.
September: Harvest Moon
The most familiar named moon, September’s harvest moon refers to the time of year after the autumn equinox when crops are gathered. It also refers to the moon’s particularly bright appearance and early rise, which lets farmers continue harvesting into the night. Other names include the corn moon and the barley moon.
October: Hunter’s Moon
The first moon after the harvest moon is the hunter’s moon, so named as the preferred month to hunt summer-fattened deer and fox unable to hide in now bare fields. Like the harvest moon, the hunter’s moon is also particularly bright and long in the sky, giving hunters the opportunity to stalk prey at night. Other names include the traveling moon and the dying grass moon.
November: Beaver Moon
There is disagreement over the origin of November’s beaver moon name. Some say it comes from Native Americans setting beaver traps during this month, while others say the name comes from the heavy activity of beavers building their winter dams. Another name is the frost moon.
December: Cold Moon
The coming of winter earned December’s full moon the name cold moon. Other names include the long night moon and the oak moon.
The Blue Moon
Each year, the moon completes its final cycle about 11 days before the Earth finishes its orbit around the sun. These days add up, and every two and a half years or so, there is an extra full moon, called a blue moon. The origin of the term is uncertain, and its precise definition has changed over the years. The term is commonly used today to describe the second full moon of a calendar month, but it was originally the name given to the third full moon in a season containing four full moons.
Lunar Monthly Musings by Phoenix the Elder – Greetings artists, people of dreams and visions, healers, seers and empaths… we have completed our second moon cycle of Capricorn now, which lasted till the very last moment! It hung onto its cycle with a fever – but on Jan 25th the energy shifted mid-afternoon and the water spilled releasing the Cancer’s full moons hold. Now we enter the final moon cycle of Winter and the electricity charge is much different and its goal is freedom, not responsibility. Aquarian and Sagittarius energy are the most rebellious of earth, even Trump, who is a Gemini with Uranus conjunct his Sun, will show the world how Uranian energy works for everyone to see.
I posted the first photo above to show you two main symbols of Uranus (Aquarian energy). The photo on the left is an expression of the 0-15 degrees Aquarius and the influences of Capricorn: The individual, the rebel, the true energy of chaos within the family, corporations, government or business. The photo on the right, 15-30 degrees Aquarius, influenced by Pisces: The magical, the mystical and visionary or the self-sabotage sides of Aquarius/Uranus. This New Moon sits at 8 degrees Aquarius starting January 27, 2017, so we are going to express and observe in our personal world, the more challenging Capricorn issues of Saturn and Uranus’ who dislike of each other.
In families this will be the responsible one verses the chaos one, in community it will be the rebel verses structure, the closed minded verses the visionary and in the collective it will be the leadership and power verses the common sense and positive detachment that is required in great changes. So wherever you sit in the world this moon, try to understand the oppositions are the greatest of the year – this is because the new year (spring) hasn’t begun the new energy for the year yet, regardless what Sun calendars proclaim around the Winter Solstice.
All of you should have experienced some chaos already, if not, that train will arrive on time at the Leo Full Moon on Friday, Feb 10th. The work I teach is to structure soul and emotional chaos which is part true moon cycles. Its not to avoid it, its not about fearing this natural flow, its about jumping into it and letting it lead, showing you something about your fears, denials and avoidance of your own diving deep within which is hidden. That is what and where the mystery and magical is located for artists, dreamers, empaths etc.
Chaos Magic is truly a Uranian things, and those who study magic principles have no idea what true chaos means in the reality of you are going to experience the chaos, not others if you try to send anything out in this moon cycle. So be very wise to not do any type of magical work until spring comes when mother earth awakens. She does not like to be disturbed in her winter sleep.
I wrote an article a few months back of the Golden Baba, which are the golden grandmothers of our past. It spoke about the white indigenous tribe of the north who they in the 13th century called the “sleeping people” and if disturbed, they would wake up angry and also die. They were an old dream (bear) caln, who fell asleep around the Autumn Equinox and did not awaken until Spring. Of course, they died out because the new world order after the 12th century had no room for the old ones, just like everywhere else on earth.
For those of you who are dreamers, its very important for you to give your self permission to dream in the three moons of winter and sleep more, especially if you have a water sun or moon (Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio). Its necessary for you to maintain your natural emotional health, so try not to be swayed by the fire or earth clans people who hardly need any sleep and are on the go all the time. Never compare yourself or your children to non-dreamer types.
I had to learn that lesson in my late 30s when my children were teenagers, I would say why can’t you behave like so and so and see them as an example, I had not mastered the mirror principles yet. I finally had so many good daggers thrown at me by my kids giving me flack for that, that I stopped and gave up. So try to loosen the mother hen a bit this cycle (tribal or group thinking) and use your individual self or independent part of your self to chose only whats most important, most dangerous and most intense when dealing with your world to add some of your power to find balance. Then exercise the Fire Rooster you were born to be this moon cycle only (the little general) who protects and pays attention to purification and defense for healthy boundaries against those who want to eat you alive with their niceness.
Speaking of Fire Rooster energy, this new moon is also the Chinese New Year which brings fire and purification, of the bossy energy types! I will repeat again: Make sure the south direction of your home, house or property has some metal chimes hanging there until next February. Some bossy people are natural leaders, but some just need to cry and have a release and accept they are not the warrior types, they are just angry and under that anger, is a lot of sadness or depression which requires a lot of tears.
I ask people in the third moon of winter: “Where is your Rebel? Where is he or she hiding from you that either sabotages you or stands up for you? Remember all fixed signs must work together, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius must learn to be friends in order to help us navigate a fixed moon cycle. Taurus owns practicality, Leo owns Love, Scorpio sees in the Dark and Aquarius see’s all of them plus its own Rebel vs Chaos vs Visionary. So many feel people guilty for their rebel or their chaos and others make damn sure they do feel guilty for it. So in an Aquarian cycle, be emotionally detached and put on your armor but then when Pisces Moon comes next moon cycle, take the armor off, be emotional and throw that armor in the ocean of freedom.
Shame or Shaming others, used in an Aquarian cycle always backfires, so make sure you put that on the back burner, it is not a good attitude for this moon, and its wise to remember that you are truly your own worst enemy and nobody else is. This moon of winter says make a decision and stick to it, hell or high water. Fixed energy is to push through difficulty, slay the self (ego, vindictiveness or jealousy) and to give yourself so much trouble that you reach a higher level of your personal struggle. What I read out there in the spiritual world is, its all about the ONE LOVE, ONE WORLD, ONE ENERGY we are all connected to. That my friend is 1960s Aquarian bullshit and escapism that died on New Years Eve, 1970. We are all at different places, we all have different karma (vibration) and we are not all alike nor do we walk in that blindness or high.
Being Aquarian opposite Uranus with a Pisces Moon, I have had to learn to slay the self, then let go and put this on auto repeat most of my life til I got it right and once I joined the energy of the consciousness and actual cycles of the moon and mother earth, that became not only easier but it was so supportive to my spiritual path. A path that I was to survive, not play with its philosophies and theologies. So that is my wisdom for you so you can make it till the Spring Equinox with some self dignity left.

My needs are real

Last Note: Valentines Day is Feb 14 and the Full Moon in Leo is Feb 10th! So if something arises for you it might be around a release issue of Chaos Love.
Also in the Chart below: The Sun/Moon (new moon), are not really influenced by much here, but everywhere around them is a big fat T-Square (red triangle) which is tension. Since Leo is about relations on the full moon, note the mars, venus, chiron conjunction. If a love spat arises, just know that your personal woundedness will arise, so use it to your advantage to learn about where you are wounded in love.
Also practice being still, meditate, and focus on your groundedness and let the Chaos fly all around you. Try really hard NOT TO GET INVOLVE IN OTHER PEOPLES CHAOS this moon cycle… you work on YOUR own chaos, and if involved in other peoples chaos, just practice a bit more silence and observe more of what is happening. Whatever you do, keep your mouth shut. That is my BEST wisdom for the month. If you do have to go chaos on a situation, make sure its worth the battle…
Blessings on the New Moon, Chinese New Year and Valentines Day!
