One of the most important things we can do to address the challenges of today’s age is to build authentic, lasting, and meaningful nature-based relationships and spiritual practices that are localized to our own ecosystems. We can build deep connections with our local land and take up our traditional ancestral role intending and honoring nature.…The TreeLore Oracle and Magical Compendium of North American Trees — The Druids Garden
Some time ago, I offered insight into how to create your own oracle or tarot deck for your own purposes. I promised a follow-up article that explored the world of self-publishing and had a recent request for this information, so here it is! This article starts where the last one left off–I’m not going to talk about creation, intention, or media in this article but rather share the aspects of taking something that you have already created (or are in the process of creating) and sharing it with the world. While there are certainly a number of considerations at play, creating an oracle or tarot deck that you release to the world can be a fantastic experience. I realize a lot of people don’t need this information, but I’d like to put it out there for those who might find it helpful in…

The Ogham is an ancient alphabet, used to write early Irish and later Old Irish. The inscriptions that survive of Ogham, some 400 or so primarily on stone, are found throughout Ireland, Wales, and England. The inscriptions are thought to date from the 4th century and onward, although how old the tradition is is subject to some disagreement. In the modern druid tradition, the Ogham has also been associated with divination, and many druids use Ogham as a means to connect with sacred trees in the landscape. However, for people living in places outside of the British Isles, making local Oghams allows them to connect both with some of the roots of our tradition in druidry but also wildcraft and localize their druidry. This Ogham is designed for the Northern Appalachian mountain region in the United States while being…

What is the Urim and Thummim? Theologians and Intellectuals both have no idea. Yet it continues to be a major thing when it comes to history. In Hebrew the term Urim means ‘light’ and Thummim means ‘perfection’. To most this means nothing, but to me it makes a lot of sense. Here is yet another central and very important item in religion where the meaning has been conveniently lost. The so called great authorities on Judaic and Christian religions have had no clue what the Urim and Thummim really were. The Urim and Thummim is still around. Hiding in plain sight.

Ever since I self-published the Tarot of Trees, I get a fairly regular stream of people who are interested in creating their own oracle decks and want to know how to do it. So in today’s post, I’ll share the process of developing a variety of different oracles. Some were published oracles, like The Tarot of Trees and my forthcoming Plant Spirit Oracle, while others were private oracles just for me, such as the Ancestor Oracle and my ongoing East Coast Ogham project and tree spirit project. Through these projects, I detail the process for how you might create your own. We’ll talk about the act of creation itself, as well as options for if you want to get it out into the world (self publish, print on demand, etc).
In today’s post, I’m going to focus on oracle decks that you…

An Eclipse opens a portal, releasing waves of energy that is available to us all, giving us a rare opportunity to get in touch with and listen to the inner voice of our intuition, our inner knowing, and wisdom, our inner compass.
It is the beginning of an Eclipse cycle that is ushering us into a new and transformative life-changing phase at immense speed, taking us to our next evolutionary level.
The pressure may feel quite intense, as this Lunar Eclipse marks the grand finale of three Jupiter-Pluto tense squares that have been shaking up everything from the personal to the political since November 2016. Pushing us to step up to our personal power and inner greatness.
The focal point of this Lunar Eclipse is the rare “Finger of God” constellation. A finger of God shows a special life transforming mission.
We are presently in the midst of a karmic mission on…
