December 2022 Forecast and Fourth Quarter North Node Horoscopes

DECEMBER 2022 FORECAST

We finish 2022 with a shift of energies and a changing worldview. In many ways, the intensity and frustration of 2022 set the stage for a much more eventful 2023. All the Jupiter/Neptune in Pisces energy, plus Mars Retrograde from October 30-January 13, 2023 make it difficult to evaluate 2022 and take action without the benefit of additional hindsight.

This need for review gets amplified by ending the year with Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn. Time to dot your i’s and cross your t’s. Mercury remains Retrograde until January 18, 2023 when Mercury stations Direct on the same day that the Sun conjuncts Pluto. We can expect something deep and profound to arise from our retrospection, but this year ends with a backwards look and suspended animation.

For now, tend to the things you can control and influence. In some cases that might “just” mean prayer and meditation…

New Moon in Sagittarius ~ November 23, 2022 — Laura Bruno’s Blog

My November 2022 Forecast shared: November 23 New Moon in Sagittarius, 5:57 p.m. Eastern US time. This Sagittarius New Moon occurs only a half-hour after Jupiter stations direct in Pisces. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and co-rules Pisces, so this shift from retrograde to direct motion strengthens Jupiter and his domain. Known as “the Great Benefic,” Jupiter […]

Full Moon in Taurus, Lunar Eclipse ~ November 8, 2022

Laura Bruno's Blog

My November 2022 Forecast shared:

November 8 Full Moon in Taurus, Lunar Eclipse, 6:02 a.m. Eastern US time. Also called the “Mourning Moon,” this one occurs on (the scheduled) Election Day in the US. The Full Moon peaks at exactly 16°00′ Taurus, between Uranus and the North Node. This portends an intense day, pointing towards the future. The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is: “AN OLD TEACHER FAILS TO INTEREST HIS PUPILS IN TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE. KEYNOTE:The inadequacy of past knowledge in time of crisis.” According to Dane Rudhyar, “We might speak here of the principle of CREATIVE FRUSTRATION.”Mercury and Venus conjunct the Scorpio Sun point. This meeting may temper frustration through love, but nasty, vindictive words, jealousy and revenge could also arise. Depending on events, Uranus and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse could trigger riots, but hopefully not!

We may already be witnessing some…

Self Publishing Your Own Tarot or Oracle Deck: Printers, Marketing, Layout and More!

The Druid's Garden

The Plant Spirit Oracle Book and Deck

Some time ago, I offered insight into how to create your own oracle or tarot deck for your own purposes. I promised a follow-up article that explored the world of self-publishing and had a recent request for this information, so here it is!  This article starts where the last one left off–I’m not going to talk about creation, intention, or media in this article but rather share the aspects of taking something that you have already created (or are in the process of creating) and sharing it with the world.  While there are certainly a number of considerations at play, creating an oracle or tarot deck that you release to the world can be a fantastic experience.  I realize a lot of people don’t need this information, but I’d like to put it out there for those who might find it helpful in…

Beyond Divination: Four Spiritual Uses for the Tarot

Beautiful artwork. Thanks for sharing.

The Druid's Garden

The Fool from the Tarot of TreesWhen people think of the Tarot, they often think of its primary use as a divination tool.  Tarot is an incredibly versatile tool, and now you can get hundreds of decks on practically any theme, choose from dozens of books to help you learn, and access a wide variety of free online resources.  Learning to read them as a divination method is as straightforward as picking up a book, drawing cards, and reading entries–and yet mastering them can take a lifetime.

I wanted to share a few additional ways that I’ve used the Tarot over the years to enhance my spiritual practice.  The Tarot has many uses beyond divination, and learning some of these can deepen your work with the Tarot even further. These methods can be tied directly to divination uses, help you learn the Tarot in a new way, or be used on their own. All images are…

The Allegheny Mountain Ogham: An Ogham for the Northern Appalachian Mountains in the Eastern USA

The Druid's Garden

By Dana O’Driscoll, The Druid’s Garden Blog (druidgarden.wordpress.com), Copyright 2020.

The Ogham is an ancient alphabet, used to write early Irish and later Old Irish. The inscriptions that survive of Ogham, some 400 or so primarily on stone, are found throughout Ireland, Wales, and England. The inscriptions are thought to date from the 4th century and onward, although how old the tradition is is subject to some disagreement. In the modern druid tradition, the Ogham has also been associated with divination, and many druids use Ogham as a means to connect with sacred trees in the landscape. However, for people living in places outside of the British Isles, making local Oghams allows them to connect both with some of the roots of our tradition in druidry but also wildcraft and localize their druidry. This Ogham is designed for the Northern Appalachian mountain region in the United States while being…

Urim and Thummim

secretsoftheserpent

What is the Urim and Thummim?  Theologians and Intellectuals both have no idea.  Yet it continues to be a major thing when it comes to history.   In Hebrew the term Urim means ‘light’ and Thummim means ‘perfection’.  To most this means nothing, but to me it makes a lot of sense.  Here is yet another central and very important item in religion where the meaning has been conveniently lost.  The so called great authorities on Judaic and Christian religions have had no clue what the Urim and Thummim really were.  The Urim and Thummim is still around.  Hiding in plain sight.

How to Create Your Own Tarot or Oracle Deck for Personal Use

The Druid's Garden

My local ogham-like oracle system :) My local ogham-like oracle system 🙂

Ever since I self-published the Tarot of Trees, I get a fairly regular stream of people who are interested in creating their own oracle decks and want to know how to do it. So in today’s post, I’ll share the process of developing a variety of different oracles. Some were published oracles, like  The Tarot of Trees and my forthcoming Plant Spirit Oracle, while others were private oracles just for me, such as the Ancestor Oracle and my ongoing East Coast Ogham project and tree spirit project. Through these projects, I detail the process for how you might create your own. We’ll talk about the act of creation itself, as well as options for if you want to get it out into the world (self publish, print on demand, etc).

In today’s post, I’m going to focus on oracle decks that you…
