Crystals for Balance During the Holiday Season

Crystals for Balance during the Holiday Season by Kathleen Johnson

Although we know that maintaining balance in our lives is a key to wellness, it is often a challenge to do so. Life on Earth can be demanding, stressful, and even chaotic at times, which makes it harder to achieve, let alone maintain, a state of balance. This is especially true during the holiday season. As we rush around in our daily lives, juggling responsibilities of home, work, family, and friends, the added pressure of the holiday season is a recipe for imbalance and overload. So, this holiday season, allow some crystal therapy into your lives, and mindfully work with their energy to keep yours in balance.

Some of my top choices for balance and stress relief are:

Black Tourmaline is a stone that everyone needs! You may know it as a great grounding stone, but it also cleanses the energy field, and helps to dispel negativity in the form of worry, fear, judgment, and other toxic emotions. Black Tourmaline purifies and protects, so you can feel grounded and stable through the holiday rush. Keep a piece in a pocket, and place some over the exterior doors in your home.

Blue Kyanite is a wonderful choice for finding and maintaining balance. All Kyanites gently and thoroughly align and balance the 7 primary chakras. They calm and release stuck energy manifesting as emotions. Blue Kyanite has the added benefits of dissolving unhealthy emotional patterns, as well as enhancing communication with others. Placing a piece of Blue Kyanite on the 3rd eye can create a calm serene state in a matter of minutes when you’re feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list.

Green Aventurine is a heart chakra stone, and carries a lovely energy that instantly lifts the spirits and supports a feeling of well-being. It is also a wonderful balancing crystal, and inspires optimism during challenging times and situations. With its happy loving energy, Green Aventurine supports graceful movement through the holiday season. And, because it also harmonizes interactions with others, it is a wonderful choice for holiday gatherings and social events. Wearing a green aventurine necklace or pendant keeps it close to the heart.

Lepidolite is quickly becoming one of my go-to crystals, especially for stressful times when balance is needed. It harmonizes with all the chakras, but works especially well with the heart and 3rd eye. Its energy soothes frazzled nerves and dissipates stress and worry. Lepidolite calms anxiety and encourages restful sleep. It gently moves us into a receptive state for balance and emotional healing. Its energy is serene, soothing, and helps us appreciate the lessons in challenges. Carry Lepidolite in a pocket for a calm balancing influence and place it under your pillow for relief from insomnia related to holiday stress.

Red Jasper is the “Supreme Nurturer”. Offering stability and emotional balance, Red Jasper works slowly but steadily. Keeping Red Jasper in your environment promotes a grounded outlook, a deeper connection to Mother Earth, and an ability to recognize the source of chaos in our lives, thus providing the opportunity to restore order. Red Jasper has a very practical and earthy vibration that feels comforting and familiar. It also restores strength and vitality depleted by stress or illness. Red Jasper calms and balances the emotions when used as a worry stone.

Rose Quartz is a universally beloved stone. The gentle, nurturing energy of this delicate pink crystal is pure love – unconditional and for all. Its soothing vibrations are calming as they release tension and restore balance to the emotions and the entire energetic body. Rose Quartz is the quintessential heart chakra stone. Even so, it stimulates all the chakras, harmonizing and uniting them with heart energy. Wear Rose Quartz in a necklace or pendant, and allow its loving energy to calm and smooth any emotional rough edges.

Of course, this is by no means a comprehensive list. Fortunately, Mother Earth has blessed us with many crystals that restore balance, reduce stress, and support wellbeing. Some additional suggestions are AmethystBlue Chalcedony,Blue Lace AgateCelestiteMoonstoneTiger’s Eye, and Unakite Jasper.

Finally, as always, allow your intuition to guide you to those that work best with you. Mother Earth has you covered, so welcome some crystal therapy into the holiday season, and Sparkle on!

CLEARING INNER RESISTANCE TO POSITIVE CHANGE ~ A CRYSTAL HEALING RITUAL

By Krista Mitchell

Clearing Inner Resistance to Positive Change - A Crystal Healing Ritual / krista-mitchell.com

It’s mind-boggling to think that there’s a part of us inside that fights us on making positive changes in our lives.

If something’s going to make our lives better, happier, healthier, why can’t we just do it? What gets in the way?

Put your hand up if you’ve ever experienced this: there’s a change you’ve wanted or needed to make in your life for a long-azz time, but you just seem stuck or held in the same old place or repeating pattern.

You just can’t seem to make the change happen.

It could be losing weight, changing jobs or careers, shifting your pattern of relationships, breaking a bad habit, exercising more, eating better, creating more work/life balance, etc.

What you are experiencing, my friend, is inner resistance.

CUTTING CORDS TO PAST RELATIONSHIPS: A WANING MOON CRYSTAL RITUAL

By Krista Mitchell

Past-relationship-crystal-ritual / krista-mitchell.com

For those of us who live in the northern hemisphere, we’ve now entered the dark time of the wheel of the year. The days are short, cold, and the nights become longer right up to the solstice on December 21st.

The dark time of the wheel of the year is a phase in which healing, releasing, and facing our shadows can become most potent.

North or south, we are currently in a waning moon phase, another powerful time of healing, releasing, banishing, and, the last waning moon phase before the solstice (which, I might add, falls on a full moon!).

In ancient times the solstice marked the beginning of a new year. The sun is “reborn” as it slowly begins to grow stronger, the days increasingly longer and warmer.

It is a time when intentions are set, magic is worked, the sun is celebrated, sacred woods are burned in holy fires, and there is feasting and fun. Life continues on and will gradually return to the land.

Following nature’s calendar, we have the opportunity now to begin preparing ourselves for a better year.

Full Moon in Gemini

Dear all,
This Full Moon in Gemini — Thursday and Friday — (check the full details below) — brings the energy of increased communication and higher learning, and you can go deeper with something that you started learning last year at about this time.
At the same time, while you may clear up or revise something from the past, make sure that you present any new ideas with clarity and patience.
The need to be right may be stronger than usual and the need to teach or preach may become overbearing if you don’t practice moderation.
Due to the stressful aspects between this Moon and Mars, as well as Mercury retrograde, you need to be EXTRA careful to avoid any arguments as well as while driving Thursday and Friday.
The Moon enters Gemini an hour before midnight and reaches its peak (becomes completely Full) at 39 minutes after midnight on the 23rd EST, less than a day after Sun enters Sagittarius.
Crystals to use: Fluorite, Aquamarine, Mahogany Obsidian
The mind may go into overdrive, so if you can’t sleep, you can meditate (check out my recorded Better Sleep meditations https://crystalcosmopolitan.com/meditation/ or use that “awake time” to put on paper some practical plans.
If you need any energy sessions (Crystal Reiki, Accunect or Tesla Healing) to carry you through or recover afterwards 🙂 — you know where to find me — crystalcosmopolitan.com and universalenergywaves.com
Happy Thanksgiving!

Crystal Grid for Gratitude

by Jenn Lynn from Feather Spirit Crystal Healing

Crystal Grid for Gratitude by Jenn Lyn

Making a crystal grid for gratitude is a special way to show appreciation for the blessings you have received as well as promoting a sense of love and thankfulness. While holding the intention of gratitude, you can place any crystals in the grid and even incorporate gifts from the Earth as well. Your gird can be set up in your personal sacred space or even a family room to enhance feelings of gratitude and positivity during social gatherings.

For my grid, I chose to include the following stones:

  • Green Aventurine (Heart Chakra): Develops deeper understanding and appreciation of nature; Brings positivity, new growth and opportunities; Assists with embracing change; Symbolizes luck and abundance.
  • Rose Quartz (Heart Chakra): Promotes a strong energy of love and appreciation; Opens our Heart Chakra to receive all forms of love and enables us to send that love and gratitude out into the Universe.
  • Botswana Agate (Root Chakra): Reminds us to be genuine in our lifestyle and have compassion; Brings in universal energies to promote unconditional love; Provides balance and stability; Shifts our focus to the “big picture” and allows us to appreciate what truly matters.
  • Rhodochrosite (Heart Chakra): Represents selfless love and compassion; Enhances optimism and encourages positive attitude; Aids us with recognizing the “silver lining” and being grateful for blessings in disguise.
  • Apatite (Throat Chakra): Promotes positive expressions of gratitude; Reminds us to focus on what we have in the present moment and to not be distracted by the past or the future.
  • Clear Quartz (all Chakras): Amplifies intention and energy.
  • Heart Shaped Petrified Wood (Root Chakra): Connection to the Earth; Enhances deep roots and stability; Symbolizes love and gratitude for Mother Earth and all of her blessings.

I also chose to incorporate gifts from the Earth to symbolize connection to Ancestors (tree stump grid base), potential & abundance (acorns), growth & renewal (leaves/greenery) and Enlightenment (pinecones).

Crystal Grid for Gratitude by Jenn Lynn

Take a few moments each day to sit with your gratitude grid and reflect on your blessings, big and small. Spread love and appreciation to not only the loved ones in your life, but the universal energies that connect us all.

Crystal Blessings,

How to Regenerate Your Body, Mind, and Soul with the New Moon in Scorpio

Dear all,
The New Moon in Scorpio this Wednesday is one of the best astrological events we’ve had since the beginning of the year!
This New Moon in Scorpio aligns with both Neptune and Pluto in a very harmonious way at the same time when Jupiter (also still in Scorpio) connects to a powerful energetic vortex in Cancer.
This translates into a huge energetic support for those of us who are ready to deeply transform our lives — like the Phoenix — one manifestation of Scorpio energy — rising out of the ashes.
Good things are on the horizon and the more we consciously work with this energy — the stronger the manifestation will be.
So how do we do that?

New Moon — What to Look Out For

Dear all,
New Moon will be exact on Monday, September 8th just a few minutes before midnight (EST)! However, we will be feeling its effects throughout the day Monday and Tuesday.
This New Moon is positioned exactly at 15 degrees in Libra. So not only is it in the sign representing balance but it is at the exact fulcrum, –or balancing point — of the scales, a symbol of Libra.
What does that mean?

Crystals for Shadow Work

Crystals for Shadow Work

It’s been a powerful year – release and regeneration have been the themes of 2018. In the process, many relationships, ways of being, communication styles, and other ingrained situations and habits have been considered, upended, and ultimately reformed or released entirely.

One consistency in all of this is that those things that have buried deep in our psyches have continued to come up in our lives – the stories, traumas, conditioning, worries, doubts, and secrets that we have tried so hard to push down keep rising for our examination. For those souls who haven’t been working continually to resolve lingering wounds, these issues are likely to have risen in an even more dramatic way, forcing heavy review. And as we prepare to head into Scorpio at the end of October, which rules the house of death and rebirth, those things that haven’t yet been addressed are likely to rise again for clearing.

How to Work with Obsidian

by Krista Mitchell (Original Source)

How To Work With Black Obsidian blog poster.jpg
Obsidian is a powerful crystal that supports shadow self healing, psychic protection from the dark arts, and increases psychic sight. Here’s how to work with it.

Meditate with it:

  • while working with your shadow self and to engage with your shadow
  • to overcome limiting beliefs, underlying commitments
  • to bring old wounds, fears, shame, denial to the surface
  • to resolve and release old beliefs and conditioning

Use it in crystal therapy:

  • to understand your shadow self and all the personal power that’s held within your shadow
  • in addition to working with a coach, therapist etc while making self improvements
  • to let go of all that no longer serves you
  • to understand the power of nighttime, altar of Hecate

Wear it daily:

  • as a protection amulet or to create a psychic shield around you
  • if you are being hit with witchcraft, dark energy from someone else as it will also repel other’s shadow
  • to create a shield around you as it is a very powerful self protection crystal often referred to as the witch’s stone
  • do not sleep with it as it can create disturbing sleeping patterns and keep you engaged with your shadow self and keep bringing up shadow stuff
  • while in therapeutic situations such as meditation, journaling, or while in rituals
