Growing Lemongrass

By Crooked Bear Creek Organics

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarCrooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs

Also known as Fever grass, Bhustrina, and Takrai. From the family Poaceae.

This important culinary and medicinal herb, which can be found throughout the tropics, is indigenous to Southeast Asia where it is used extensively to produce an essential oil. It is also a snake repellent and a versatile garden plant. There are records showing that the Persians were using it as a tea in the first century B.C. I have been lucky enough to see it growing and flowering naturally in the Caribbean {Jamaica} where they primarily use it for reducing fevers.

VARIETIES:

Cymbopogon citratus: Lemon Grass

A half-hardy perennial, evergreen in warm climates. Height 4 1/2 ft. Spread 3 feet. Lax panicles of awnless spikelets appear throughout the summer. However, it rarely flowers in cold climates. Lemon-scented linear, grey/green leaves up to 3 feet in length. Robust creamy/beige cane-like stems. Zone 9.

Cymbopogon nardus: Citronella Grass

An American Ley Line Network: A Ritual of Creation

by The Druid’s Garden

Dana's avatarThe Druid's Garden

This past weekend, we had a delightful time at the 2nd OBOD Mid Atlantic Gathering of US(or MAGUS). It was a wonderful weekend full of positive energy, community, and celebration of the land. I was involved heavily in the ritual planning and work this year and was the gathering’s keynote speaker, and we once again did a Galdr ritual (a chanting ritual) using Ogham (sacred trees). This year’s theme was “Sacred Time, Sacred Space” and as part of this work, we decided to re-enchant the land by establishing a new ley line network. We are co-creating a new ley line network across the land.

Motherstone at Four Quarters Interfaith Sanctuary Motherstone at Four Quarters Interfaith Sanctuary

The overall goal of this ritual was to re-enchanting our landscape, connecting sacred spaces and creating sacred spaces across the landscape, and connecting our broader druid community. The work involves empowering, connecting, and eventually, dispersing a set of stones…

Crystal Healing 101 ~ Your Safety Matters

By Krista Mitchell

How safe is your spiritual, psychic, or crystal healing practice?

There’s nothing more exciting than answering your calling and pursuing your purpose.

Earning a living as a healer or psychic and running a spiritual business, though a lot of work, is so fulfilling, and it’s a dream come true for a lot of people who are seeking to find deeper meaning in their lives.

What can get missed, though, are safety concerns. We’re talking physical security, legal protection, energy protection, and crystal care (if you work with crystals).

The reality of the world we live in, is that while we are doing beautiful work and attracting wonderful clients to our services, there are still scammers, predators, sexual solicitors, and angry people out there, and it only takes one to do you a world of harm.

And as a healer, if you’re not honoring certain things like boundaries, laws, liabilities, and proper care of your crystals, you could potentially (and unintentionally!) harm a client.

This is the real-world side of being a healer, beyond the trainings, psychic development, and IG posts with sparkles and unicorns (I love sparkles and unicorns!).

Whether you’re looking to start a healing practice, or if you’re already full-throttle, my latest article on my blog “Crystal Healing 101: Safety Tips” is a must-read.

And if you’re a client or someone who receives spiritual healing, it’s also worth a read if you have any concerns about boundaries or liabilities.

As more and more people are answering the call and setting out to become professional healing practitioners (which I am beyond honored to be helping to facilitate!), safety concerns could become an increasing issue.

Head on over to my blog and read my article “Crystal Healing 101: Safety Tips”for great info that can help you, and please feel free to ask any questions in the comments area of my blog.

Ps. If you’re looking for an amazing, professional level, crystal healer program, read below for details about my Pro Crystal Healer online course registering soon, and what some of my 2017 students had to say about the program!

Registration Opens on Tuesday, May 15th!

I have been absolutely blown-away by peoples’ interest in this course! And to answer a few of the more common questions:

Yes, you will learn about literally hundreds of crystals and how to apply their energy in healing.

Yes, you will learn about the chakras, how they function, what throws them out of balance, and about the human energy body and the aura’s many layers.

But you’ll also learn about people, how they heal, how to take care of your clients, how to provide the energy resources and environment they need for their healing process.

This is a well-rounded, thorough, real-life yet fun program that will not only train you to a professional level in crystal healing (yes, even if you are a beginner!), but will also help to heal and transform you along the way.

The world needs well-trained, passionate, professional healers, now more than ever. And I created this program specifically to help serve that need.

Quote of the Week

“We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.”

Manifesting with Crystals: Sacred Geometry, Crystal Grids, and Feng Shui

Dear all,
If you live in Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, or Richmond, this is an announcement for the local workshop that I’m offering:
Manifesting with Crystals:
Sacred Geometry, Crystal Grids, and Feng Shui
Saturday, May 19th – 2:30pm to 4:30pm
$75
Space: Renaissance Integrative Therapy, 3356 Ironbound Road, Building # 3, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Sacred Geometry is a term used for specific shapes that have been found through research and history to organize energy in particular ways.
If we know how to organize energy in ways that creates those specific shapes, we can attract a particular vibration affecting our mind, body, and environment in ways that brings greater amount of “luck” or synchronistic effects to us.
Come to learn how to structure and use this energy with some of the most powerful crystals for manifestation of any goal that you have in mind.
This is a fun, hands-on, quick-paced class where you get to do a lot of your own guided crystal grid building, in a relaxed atmosphere, and take home all your designs to recreate with your crystals in the specific parts of your home.
Your inner child will love this!
Crystals are not included in the price of the class, but will be available to play with and buy, if you so wish, at the end of the workshop. You can also bring your own crystals . . .
You will receive diagrams for specific types of crystal grids and the Crystal Energy Feng Shui Map.
On the day of the class Uranus makes a sextile to Venus – which translates into a perfect day to learn (Uranus) something beautiful (Venus) to bring more joy (Venus) and re-invigorate (Uranus) your environment (Venus).
Space is very limited, so please reply directly to this email as soon as you know you can make it, to get a PayPal payment link and secure your spot in this one of a kind workshop.
Stay happy and healthy,
Brana Mijatovic. Ph.D.

Want to go Lucid before the next full moon? A new Lucid Ignition community is gathering

By Ryan Hurd

The moon is waning and maybe your own lucid dreaming practice is too.

I can help with that. Well, not so much with the moon, that’s a celestial body apparently beyond my powers of influence.

But if you are looking to go deeper into lucid dreaming, or if you have hit a wall trying to become more self-aware in your dreams, the answer is probably not a new miracle technique or sleep hack. Sorry/not sorry.

Successful lucid dreamers are those who learn how to leverage motivations into strong intentions, and then build what I call the “lucid sanctuary.” This is soulful mindset that doesn’t command the dream, but invites it forth.

Since 2015, I’ve been running seasonal online workshops that provide a supportive community so you can do just that: build your lucid sanctuary, learn how to put to use the most scientifically-validated techniques, and construct a strategy that not only invites lucid dreams but also impactful and transformative dreams.

It’s easy, it’s holistic, and most importantly, it really works. Once you learn this strategy, it grows with you, and you’ll be able to dip back in whenever you are ready for more.
