CUTTING CORDS TO PAST RELATIONSHIPS: A WANING MOON CRYSTAL RITUAL

By Krista Mitchell

For those of us who live in the northern hemisphere, we’ve now entered the dark time of the wheel of the year. The days are short, cold, and the nights become longer right up to the solstice on December 21st.

The dark time of the wheel of the year is a phase in which healing, releasing, and facing our shadows can become most potent.

North or south, we are currently in a waning moon phase, another powerful time of healing, releasing, banishing, and, the last waning moon phase before the solstice (which, I might add, falls on a full moon!).

In ancient times the solstice marked the beginning of a new year. The sun is “reborn” as it slowly begins to grow stronger, the days increasingly longer and warmer.

It is a time when intentions are set, magic is worked, the sun is celebrated, sacred woods are burned in holy fires, and there is feasting and fun. Life continues on and will gradually return to the land.

Following nature’s calendar, we have the opportunity now to begin preparing ourselves for a better year.

Full Cold Moon in Gemini | A Vision Board Ritual — Spirit de la Lune

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

Tonight is the Full Cold Moon, and those of us in the northern hemisphere are likely going to feel a turn in the weather from here on out as the Full November Moon often marks colder temperatures on the way.

The Full Moon in Gemini is the perfect time for planning ahead and envisioning your future. Typically New Moon’s hold great energy for setting intention, but the Cold Moon represents an ebb in energy, and that couldn’t be more perfect as Mercury is in Retrograde until the 6th of December. Take this time to look at your intentions and goals. Rework what needs to be reworked! Refine your intention.

Happy Full Moon!

ENCOUNTERS IN GRATITUDE AND A CHANCE TO LISTEN

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

by Guido Masé November 19, 2018

A long time ago, Anne and I traveled to Ireland. We vagabonded slowly down the west coast from hostel to hostel, over green hills to rugged seaside cliffs, stopping at standing stones and the ruins of circle forts, visiting old-growth forests left intact for hundreds of years. One day we were wandering in the southwest corner of the island with the goal of reaching one of those old forests. We crossed over a small waterfall. We walked between two ancient, massive linden trees whose roots and branches had grown together, leaving an almond-shaped opening just wide enough for us to cross. And finally, we came to the oak wood we’d been seeking. The trees were old, yes, but not very tall: craggy, leaning at odd angles, with moss covering their trunks up to the lower branches. This forest is still part of a protected area…

Full Moon in Gemini

Dear all,
This Full Moon in Gemini — Thursday and Friday — (check the full details below) — brings the energy of increased communication and higher learning, and you can go deeper with something that you started learning last year at about this time.
At the same time, while you may clear up or revise something from the past, make sure that you present any new ideas with clarity and patience.
The need to be right may be stronger than usual and the need to teach or preach may become overbearing if you don’t practice moderation.
Due to the stressful aspects between this Moon and Mars, as well as Mercury retrograde, you need to be EXTRA careful to avoid any arguments as well as while driving Thursday and Friday.
The Moon enters Gemini an hour before midnight and reaches its peak (becomes completely Full) at 39 minutes after midnight on the 23rd EST, less than a day after Sun enters Sagittarius.
Crystals to use: Fluorite, Aquamarine, Mahogany Obsidian
The mind may go into overdrive, so if you can’t sleep, you can meditate (check out my recorded Better Sleep meditations https://crystalcosmopolitan.com/meditation/ or use that “awake time” to put on paper some practical plans.
If you need any energy sessions (Crystal Reiki, Accunect or Tesla Healing) to carry you through or recover afterwards 🙂 — you know where to find me — crystalcosmopolitan.com and universalenergywaves.com
Happy Thanksgiving!

Crystal Grid for Gratitude

Crystal Grid for Gratitude by Jenn Lyn

Making a crystal grid for gratitude is a special way to show appreciation for the blessings you have received as well as promoting a sense of love and thankfulness. While holding the intention of gratitude, you can place any crystals in the grid and even incorporate gifts from the Earth as well. Your gird can be set up in your personal sacred space or even a family room to enhance feelings of gratitude and positivity during social gatherings.

For my grid, I chose to include the following stones:

  • Green Aventurine (Heart Chakra): Develops deeper understanding and appreciation of nature; Brings positivity, new growth and opportunities; Assists with embracing change; Symbolizes luck and abundance.
  • Rose Quartz (Heart Chakra): Promotes a strong energy of love and appreciation; Opens our Heart Chakra to receive all forms of love and enables us to send that love and gratitude out into the Universe.
  • Botswana Agate (Root Chakra): Reminds us to be genuine in our lifestyle and have compassion; Brings in universal energies to promote unconditional love; Provides balance and stability; Shifts our focus to the “big picture” and allows us to appreciate what truly matters.
  • Rhodochrosite (Heart Chakra): Represents selfless love and compassion; Enhances optimism and encourages positive attitude; Aids us with recognizing the “silver lining” and being grateful for blessings in disguise.
  • Apatite (Throat Chakra): Promotes positive expressions of gratitude; Reminds us to focus on what we have in the present moment and to not be distracted by the past or the future.
  • Clear Quartz (all Chakras): Amplifies intention and energy.
  • Heart Shaped Petrified Wood (Root Chakra): Connection to the Earth; Enhances deep roots and stability; Symbolizes love and gratitude for Mother Earth and all of her blessings.

I also chose to incorporate gifts from the Earth to symbolize connection to Ancestors (tree stump grid base), potential & abundance (acorns), growth & renewal (leaves/greenery) and Enlightenment (pinecones).

Crystal Grid for Gratitude by Jenn Lynn

Take a few moments each day to sit with your gratitude grid and reflect on your blessings, big and small. Spread love and appreciation to not only the loved ones in your life, but the universal energies that connect us all.

Crystal Blessings,

How to Regenerate Your Body, Mind, and Soul with the New Moon in Scorpio

Dear all,
The New Moon in Scorpio this Wednesday is one of the best astrological events we’ve had since the beginning of the year!
This New Moon in Scorpio aligns with both Neptune and Pluto in a very harmonious way at the same time when Jupiter (also still in Scorpio) connects to a powerful energetic vortex in Cancer.
This translates into a huge energetic support for those of us who are ready to deeply transform our lives — like the Phoenix — one manifestation of Scorpio energy — rising out of the ashes.
Good things are on the horizon and the more we consciously work with this energy — the stronger the manifestation will be.
So how do we do that?

November, Autumn, Fall

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

“The name ‘November’ is believed to derive from ‘novem’ which is the Latin for the number ‘nine’.  In the ancient
Roman calendar November was the ninth month after March.  As part of the seasonal calendar November is the
time of the ‘Snow Moon’ according to Pagan beliefs and the period described as the ‘Moon of the Falling Leaves’
by Black Elk.”

Samhain:

“This association of death with fertility provided the theological background for a great number of end-of-harvest festivals celebrated by many cultures across Eurasia.  Like Samhain, these festivals (which, for example, included the rituals of the Dyedy (“Ancestors”) in the Slavic countries and the Vetrarkvöld festival in Scandinavia) linked the successful resumption of the agricultural cycle (after a period of apparent winter “death”) to the propitiation of the human community’s dead.  The dead have passed away from the social concerns of
this world to the primordial chaos of the Otherworld where all fertility has its roots…
