Aries New Moon Crystals

By Krista Mitchell

Ok, so you know all of those changes you keep meaning to make, but somehow just haven’t put in place yet? Or maybe there’s that one big step you have to take to get things started (or ended), but it’s a gutsy move, and you just haven’t felt ready yet?

Well, get ready.

This upcoming new moon in Aries (Sunday 4/15 at 9:57pm ET) delivers the energy, motivation, and guts you need for creating much needed change.

This new cycle of manifestation (new moon), start of the astrological new year, AND mercury going direct, combined with Aries’ characteristics of action and courage, all lead up to endless possibilities and opportunities to recreate.

I’ve felt this influence already in my own life: getting things moving, starting things up, moving things forward.

But this moon isn’t just about the new: it’s about revisiting the old in new ways. Breakthroughs, second chances, opportunities re-imagined and reclaimed, as well as last-minute solutions, may all present themselves at this time.

It’s definitely a time to not only reflect on what’s not working in your life, but to make some decisions as to what you can do about it, and then taking real action.

Learn from past mistakes, try thinking differently, and approach things from a new perspective or with a new plan of attack. This isn’t the time to do things in a way you’ve done before, or to listen to what other people are telling you to do.

Be bold. Be big. Be brave. Be YOU, and claim this opportunity to reinvent, recreate, re-vision, and live more in alignment with your own inner truth. It’s not always an easy thing to do, so it’s best to do it at times when the Universe has your back.

Mid-March - Crocus in the Snow Mid-March – Crocus in the Snow

The landscape waits, with bated breath, for the warmth to finally arrive. The last two months have been unseasonably cold, and the longer that time passes, more anticipation is present in the air. The plants and buds swell, but are unwilling to come out while the temperatures still go into the teens at night. At Imbolc, Punxsutawney Phil, our local divination oracle, predicted six weeks of winter, but in truth, winter has turned from 6 weeks more, to 12 weeks more, and now almost to 18. Just two days ago, the weather broke, and it seems that spring is finally in the air. Here at the homestead, we are all growing weary. Each morning, my cat Acorn runs to the door, ready to go outside and explore.  When I open the door for her, a breath of cold air hits her face and…

Mimosa Manager Cathy Douglas had this to share:

Labradorite has a lot in common with Moonstone: both are feldspars sharing the same basic makeup (Ca, Na)(Al, Si)4O8), and both show a distinctive, often-bluish inner shine that results when light reflects back from the inner planes of feldspar. But its darker color gives Labradorite a highly spiritual quality, so that people going through spiritual awakening or development often find themselves irresistibly attracted to it.

Safety note: Please don’t use Labradorite to make elixirs, since it contains aluminum.

New Moon In Aries ~ What Needs To Change?

Dear all,
So all of you know by now that the New Moon time is a time to start fresh, but did you know that this energy will be tripled this Sunday?!
The New Moon happens on the same day when Mercury goes direct, it makes a powerful and a rare connection to Uranus, a planet of sudden change, and all three (+ the Sun) are in the sign of new beginnings!
If you have been feeling stuck in any area of your life, now is the time when things will finally start to move and maybe even faster than you’d want them to.
The strong Fire Element will provide the unstoppable energy of renewed excitement and passion, so if that’s what you had needed — you can look forward to it!
You can help it along by actively looking at what is it that you want to changewhile you hold Moldavite, Pietersite, or Blue Tourmaline (listed in order of intensity).
For some this change might be sudden or unexpected and if that is you, you can work with the smoky Quartz and Black Agate to feel more grounded.
The energy this whole weekend is quite supportive of any long-term transformation you want to make, so you can already start doing whatever you feel will move things along.
This is a great time to check out my “Awaken the Queen Within” program, which supports all your goals on a vibrational level so everything becomes easier to do http://crystalcosmopolitan.com/awaken-queen-within-program/
And I have a quick question for those you who are local:
I am putting together a schedule of crystal workshops for the rest of the year, some of them ones I’ve offered before and some new ones.
What topics would you like to see featured?
As always,
stay happy and healthy!

Sacred Landscapes, Part IV: Sacred Time, Sacred Space

by The Druid’s Garden

Dana's avatarThe Druid's Garden

A woodburned sign bidding druids to enter a sacred space A woodburned sign bidding druids to enter a sacred space

“This is sacred time, this is sacred space.” At the end of the opening of every OBOD ritual, this powerful statement is made.  But what does “sacred time, sacred space” really mean? What is “the sacred” and how do we know it?  What is sacred in the context of American Druidry, where we do not have an abundance of ancient stone circles or accessible sacred sites? In this post, I want to spend some time today thinking about the ways we might enact the sacred in our own lives and lands as part of building sacred landscapes and re-enchanting our land.

In my first post in this series, I talked about the “disenchantment” of the world through industrialization and the rise of a religious tradition that did not acknowledge the land as sacred. And truly, a disenchanted worldview–where…

Sacred Landscapes, Part III: Ley Lines and the Energy of the Earth

by The Druid’s Garden

Dana's avatarThe Druid's Garden

Over the last two weeks, we’ve been exploring the idea of re-enchanting the world. Two weeks ago, I introduced the idea of re-enchantment through a discussion Max Weber’s claims that the world has been “disenchanted” by industrialization. Re-enchanting, then, is potential work that we as druids and earth-centered spiritual people might do. If we want to do this re-enchantment, however, we need to draw upon and better understand the ways in which ancient humans created sacred landscapes. In last week’s post, we explored the historical understanding of “ley lines” and alignments on the earth to understand some of the physical tools that ancient humans worldwide used to enchant the world. Today’s post continues this discussion in a more metaphysical sense–understanding the more modern “ley line theory” as it applies to earth energy and considering the energetic work we might do.

Blue Moon 31 March 2018

by Good Witches Homestead

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

The full moon on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 10° Libra is a blue moon because it is the second full moon of the calendar month. The Blue Moon March 2018 astrology chart has eight challenging red aspects and one helpful blue aspect. Full Moon March 2018 is a blue moon in every sense of the word.

Mercury retrograde opposite the full moon means it will be hard to understand your feelings and even harder to share them. Saturn squares the full moon and Mercury brings negative thinking, sadness, and loneliness. Worry and fear from fixed stars make this a particularly troubling full moon. Doing nothing and letting the full moon get you down is not an option.

The good thing about challenging aspects is that they force you to work hard and improve yourself. The one positive aspect of the full moon chart is helping you positively transform your life in…
