Magical Tradition basically is a body of spell-casting techniques, or philosophical or religious alchemy beliefs pertaining to one particular view or method of magic or occultism. Alchemy can involve math and symbols and even the ancient demon bowls from long ago to attack women in power, by the rising Jewish men’s in their religions. 

Most magical endeavors today are from the Middle Ages, antiquity texts written and put into form, by Pagans, the Metaphysical or Esoteric traditions. Free magic and human magic are two completely different things, for free magic involves mother earth, energy and elements of nature, and human magic unfortunately involves past life…

Ice Ritual for Ostara

Wednesday is Ostara, Spring Equinox and Thursday is the full Lenten Moon (the last full moon of winter). You will hear a lot of talk about balance at this time of year, with light and dark being equal, but it never feels balanced to me, it feels like a battle, with bitterly cold days, sandwiched between warm, bright days with one storm rolling in after another, as banks of high and low pressure buffet against each other. The winter was kind this year, so perhaps he is reluctant to leave so soon.

I believe a ritual is a little path you follow, that winds through your own particular internal woods, and what makes it meaningful is how it resonates with you. The path being as important as the destination. We don’t follow the rhythms of nature any more to survive, but that doesn’t mean we don’t feel them…
