Beet Juice Recipe with Liver Cleansing Foods

Your liver is your main detoxifying organ, and it can get bogged down from time to time depending on your diet, activity level, and environment. When an overload of toxins becomes too much for your liver to handle, toxic compounds can store within tissues and decrease your quality of health. Cleansing your liver with a liver detox can be helpful for revving up the function of your body’s natural detox mechanisms.

Juice Your Way to Health

If you’re cleansing your liver, you need to provide your body with nutrition that is easy to digest. You don’t want your body to spend its energy digesting food, but you definitely need to keep…

HOW TO MAKE GEM ELIXIRS OR CRYSTAL ESSENCES

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

Gem elixirs also called crystal essences or crystal waters, have been used by many throughout the ages. They are a convenient way to use the vibrational energies of the crystals for crystal healing, magick, and more. They are easy to make and can be stored for later use.

You can use one crystal, several, or even several different types to make a gem elixir. Using multiple types creates a synergy blend, which is useful for bringing together the vibrations of several stones as more than the sum of the parts, so to speak.

I recommend creating gem elixirs using what is called the indirect method, and I outline it below. This method is the safest for all crystal types because the elixir waters do not come in direct contact with the stones used. The direct method — where the stones are placed directly in the water — can be potentially…

Top Crystals for the New Year of 2019

By Siobhan Gouws from SGCrystalHealing

Top Crystals for New Year 2019

Today I share my top crystals for the new year of 2019, because it’s here folks! 2019 is approaching quickly!

These are by no means the only crystals you should use. My TOP crystal for anything under the sun is whatever crystal you are attracted to RIGHT NOW. These are solely the crystals that came through during meditation and how I think they’ll be helpful.

Green Tourmaline to heal the heart and overcome any challenges of the heart. Let your heart lead the way! Green Tourmaline is also known to bring abundance, creativity, success and aid with visualization.

Angel Aura Quartz to remind you that you are never alone. You are supported in ways you cannot even imagine. You ARE divine and part of this Universal picture. Don’t forget that!

Citrine because it’s time to start believing in yourself now. Light yourself up and start tending to your confidence fire.

Dalmation Jasper to keep calm, stop lashing out and reacting. Take a breath first. This is a crystal that is calming and helps dissolve negativity.

Blue Kyanite to let your words fly, but remember to maintain balance. It was Kimberlei Ann from Spiritual ReSOULutions that came time mind and something that she wrote about: “It’s about balance. Constantly speaking and spreading negativity (if that’s the ‘truth’ you are speaking) is no good for anyone. Balance out some of that by saying something nice now and again because words have some serious power.” So, speak your truth, but if you only have hurt to share continually, then grab your Dalmation Jasper instead 😉

The last thing I want to share is about Connection. For 2019, it’s time to come out of the cave and start getting out there to make connections. Start chatting, stop hiding and connect. You never know who you will meet and what love you’ll encounter.

Creative Crystal Connecting,
Siobhan

Establishing a Ritual of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Self-Care

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

There’s something to be said about intentionally setting aside time in our hectic schedules to focus entirely on our lives, our bodies and our health (both mental, and physical).

But so often, this is easier typed than done.

I believe in our culture, there’s certain guilt about slowing down, even for a short time, especially when it’s for the sake of our own wellbeing. We’re fascinated by the hustle, by the busyness of it all, and drawn into that hamster wheel of constant productivity, for the sake of getting ahead.

But I can attest, alongside so many others, that establishing a ritual of daily, weekly, and monthly self-care, slowing down and tuning out (in order to really tune in), can greatly benefit whatever your life’s work is. Whatever that hustle is meant for.

I have struggled with establishing this routine—busyness being that back-of-the-mind itch that keeps me from slowing…

Solar Eclipse & New moon in Capricorn Energy Report

This is the first official complete moon cycle of 2019 and all the cards we pulled for this cycle are the Full Moondala cards carrying really big energy! This just affirms that THIS IS THE CYCLE to help us set the whole foundation of 2019 and by doing so we will create ripples through the months to come!

Partial Solar Eclipse in Capricorn 1.5.2019

The the Solar Eclipse is a highly-charged New Moon when the Moon is in exact alignment with the Sun, the Sun is illuminating and supporting the New Moon… So whatever intentions you set tonight be very clear and focused with them (think capturing the light of the sun in a magnifying glass) and the Capricorn energy will definitely help with this. This New Moon is great for setting intentions for career, money, security, and building a foundation you can live and thrive on so keep this in mind when you set your intentions.

2019 New Moon in Capricorn energy report

We pulled the moondala: Flower Moon, which means whatever your goals are, you have all the resources you need to fully bloom and embody this dream. So don’t be afraid to be very specific! Capricorn is very strategizing and and really wants to set you up for success.

Uranus goes direct on January 6th, so expect the unexpected. This means be bold and take action this moon cycle… whatever ideas that have been brewing and swirling around in your head since August 2018, as crazy as they may seem, now is the time to act upon them. Also don’t be surprised if any weird, unexpected events or circumstances present themselves to you… it’s all a part of the bigger picture.

TRAILBLAZER: CRYSTALS + AKASHIC GUIDANCE FOR THE NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE 2019

By Krista Mitchell

New year, new paradigm.

In keeping with the themes of this new year and new moon, I’m approaching these posts in a new way: from an Akashic perspective (as opposed to astrological), and providing soul-based crystal suggestions.

Interestingly enough, what came through my Akashic guides resonated strongly with astrological reports for this new moon solar eclipse in Capricorn, so there’s proof of the divine design, for you!

I’m really excited for this new moon and for the paradigm shift it engenders, as after 2018 I’m so ready to do things in a new way, to strike further than I have before, and make all that good change last.

Looking For Something To Forage This Weekend? Check Out These Jelly Mushrooms!

Greetings, and Happy New Year!

In my neck of the woods, January is certainly not the most prolific month in terms of wild edible mushrooms.  Snow-covered soil and freezing temperatures aren’t very conducive to ample mushroom activity.

Lately, however, conditions around here have been quite different.

The ground is devoid of snow and temperatures have been mild.  As a result, our wild woody decomposers — in particular, the fungi that feed on trees — continue to thrive.

Chief among these winter woody decomposers are our jelly fungi.  These mushrooms are unique in that their fruiting bodies can persist for months on a stick, log, or stump in a dehydrated or frozen state… only to rebound during a winter rain or warm spell.

Two fascinating jelly fungi that flourish during the winter season include the world-famous Wood Ear (popular in soup recipes) and the Amber Jelly Roll (a close look-alike).  Both mushrooms are edible and both are often found in abundance… even amongst snow and freezing temperatures.

If you’re interested in foraging these two enticing jelly fungi this weekend (and perhaps all winter long), check out the brand new video!

Speaking of edible gelatinous mushrooms, the Orange Jelly Fungus is another common component of the winter forest.  Though I don’t feature this species in the aforementioned video, I do discuss its key features in a recent Instagram post.  Check it out!

Thanks for reading and watching, and as always, thank you for your support!
