Aries New Moon Crystals

By Krista Mitchell

Ok, so you know all of those changes you keep meaning to make, but somehow just haven’t put in place yet? Or maybe there’s that one big step you have to take to get things started (or ended), but it’s a gutsy move, and you just haven’t felt ready yet?

Well, get ready.

This upcoming new moon in Aries (Sunday 4/15 at 9:57pm ET) delivers the energy, motivation, and guts you need for creating much needed change.

This new cycle of manifestation (new moon), start of the astrological new year, AND mercury going direct, combined with Aries’ characteristics of action and courage, all lead up to endless possibilities and opportunities to recreate.

I’ve felt this influence already in my own life: getting things moving, starting things up, moving things forward.

But this moon isn’t just about the new: it’s about revisiting the old in new ways. Breakthroughs, second chances, opportunities re-imagined and reclaimed, as well as last-minute solutions, may all present themselves at this time.

It’s definitely a time to not only reflect on what’s not working in your life, but to make some decisions as to what you can do about it, and then taking real action.

Learn from past mistakes, try thinking differently, and approach things from a new perspective or with a new plan of attack. This isn’t the time to do things in a way you’ve done before, or to listen to what other people are telling you to do.

Be bold. Be big. Be brave. Be YOU, and claim this opportunity to reinvent, recreate, re-vision, and live more in alignment with your own inner truth. It’s not always an easy thing to do, so it’s best to do it at times when the Universe has your back.

Mimosa Manager Cathy Douglas had this to share:

Labradorite has a lot in common with Moonstone: both are feldspars sharing the same basic makeup (Ca, Na)(Al, Si)4O8), and both show a distinctive, often-bluish inner shine that results when light reflects back from the inner planes of feldspar. But its darker color gives Labradorite a highly spiritual quality, so that people going through spiritual awakening or development often find themselves irresistibly attracted to it.

Safety note: Please don’t use Labradorite to make elixirs, since it contains aluminum.

Crystals For Kids

By Nicole Piper

Sol Path Tarot and Crystal Reiki: https://www.facebook.com/solpathtarot/

On a recent trip to one of my favorite crystal shops, I had my boys in tow, ages 7 and 9. I did my usual thing where I grab a basket and start ransacking the crystals bins, and my kids asked if they could get something. That’s when it occurred to me that my house was full of crystals, like, I have crystals spread out on all flat surfaces of my home – but they were all mine. None of them were technically chosen or cared for by my kids, and I thought, why not? I preach the benefits of crystals all the time; I’m missing this huge opportunity to get my kids involved in this from a young age so that it’s second nature to them as they are growing up. So, I told them, yes, they could each choose one thing. It was sort of an experiment for me to see what they would choose and to figure out why they were drawn to that particular crystal, and the result was, as I expected and much to my delight, they both chose crystals that had properties pertaining to problems/issues they were currently experiencing.

My youngest suffers from night terrors, and he chose a Brown Striped Jasper sphere. Brown Striped Jasper happens to be known as “the supreme nurturer” stone, promoting tranquility and support during stressful times. It’s also effective at banishing nightmares.  My oldest chose a huge chunk of Snowflake Obsidian, which helps keep you centered and focused and is a very effective grounding stone. He happens to suffer from flightiness and has difficulty maintaining attention and focus, especially in regard to school work.

It was so amazing to see them drawn to these stones that could help them, with no prompting on my part. I really believe that most kids are very “in tune” with themselves and with the energies of these stones. A lot of them haven’t been blocked by stress or anxiety or worry like us adults, therefore they can easily pick up the energy of crystals and have a sense of what to use them for. If you are thinking of getting your kids into crystals, maybe let them choose for themselves and then see which properties of those crystals may have called to them!

Pisces New Moon Crystals

By Krista Mitchell

pisces new moon crystals / krista-mitchell.com

We entered the Pisces new moon phase this morning at 9:12am ET, and I’ve been feeling the energy all day: dreamy, contemplative, quiet

This moon is said to be one of deep healing, guiding us to face our inner darkness, acknowledge our truth, and what we’re willing to let go so that we can move forward in a positive way

This is a time when new projects started will be blessed with beneficence, provided the intentions and goals you set are done so with mindfulness and consciousness about what you’re seeking to (co-) create.

At this time, you may be feeling moody, blue, insightful, drawn inward, or guided to make some healing decisions in your life. It’s best to honor those feelings.

Take time to journal, dream, or deep-dive into issues you’ve been afraid or unwilling to face.

Shadow self healing, acknowledging and addressing your wounded self and psyche, can seem like a daunting task, but it offers the ultimate reward: FREEDOM. Freedom from the same old patterns and mistakes, the negative opinion of yourself, the fear that holds you back, the resentment that keeps you tied down, and the thing that blocks your happiness.

It’s worth it, and the energy of this new moon in Pisces is supporting you in doing that work so that you’re prepared for a massive new change and fresh start coming your way.

THE QUALITY OF PISCES + CURRENT PLANETARY INFLUENCES:

  • Pisces: intuition + psychic abilities, liberty, artistic + creative pursuits, sensitivity, empathy, healing, introversion.
  • Chiron: the wounded healer, the gift
  • Mars: initiation, action
  • Jupiter: beneficence, auspiciousness, abundance

PISCES NEW MOON THEMES:

  • setting new intentions that feel more in alignment with your true self
  • auspicious timing for new projects
  • becoming more conscious about what you’re cultivating or creating in your life
  • deciding on what you’re ready to let go, so that you can start or receive something better
  • putting firm boundaries in place with yourself and others
  • recognizing what needs to be healed within on a deep level
  • cultivating a greater sense of compassion for yourself and others
  • surrendering the choices or behaviors that are holding you back
  • having the courage to face things that are difficult for you
  • acknowledging your own truth or owning your inner darkness
  • completion
  • taking time out for silence and introspection

PISCES NEW MOON CRYSTALS:

Hold and meditate, sleep with, or wear one or more of the following crystals for emotional support, inner guidance, to increase your intuition, deepen your insight, or to generate even more auspicious energy for a new project:

Full Moon ~ Will You Be Seduced by the Sirens’ Songs?

By Brana Mijatovic, Ph.D. Universal Energy Waves

In Greek Mythology, the Sirens were sea creatures who lured sailors into the depths of the sea through their song. Their haunting and beautiful songs were so irresistible that their influence was said to make anyone who heard them lose all ability for rational thinking and acting.
This is what the astrological influences connected with this Full Moon (reaching its peak on Thursday, at 7:51 EST) may make you feel.
While the Full Moon itself is in Virgo, an analytical, rational, and practical sign, the Water Element is so strong and the influence of Neptune so seductive, that it may pull us towards wanting to drown in the ocean of emotions.
Those emotions, mostly arising from the unconscious mind, may take us by surprise. They may play on our deepest fears, bring up our tightly-held illusions, resurrect our negative beliefs and leave us feeling super-sensitive and unsure of which way to go. Given that all this is in play, what we should not rely on is our intuition as it is very likely that any intuitive signals we receive will be distorted.
Instead, we should hold onto what we know is solid, take things one step at a time, have patience and self-discipline.
Do you know what the sailors who survived the seductive siren songs did?
They wore earplugs!
So if you think of the siren songs as your own negative beliefs, which may come up strongly today, tomorrow and on Friday, make sure to use those earplugs and turn your attention to practical things, things that are in your control, small tasks you can do to deal with what is right in front of you.
Crystals that will help with this are Mahogany Obsidian, Ruby (pictured above), Brown Tourmaline (pictured below), Black Agate, and Red Jasper.
Of course, how you experience and go through all this will depend on what your personal balance of Elements is like.
Now imagine if you knew this and if you knew what to do to better prepare yourself ahead of time, based on your personal balance of Elements, for times like these . . .
The Sunday Workshop Crystals, Elements, Ancestors (March 4th3pm to 7pm) in Williamsburg, VA, is designed not only to give you these tools, but also to clear some of the blocks that may show up as illusions, fears, or negative beliefs described above.
To learn more and to register, please go HERE.
Registration closes Friday at noon so I can prepare all the crystals and materials you need!
Hope to see you there!
Till next time, stay happy and healthy!

What They All Have in Common . . . New Moon in Aquarius

By Brana Mijatovic, Ph.D.

Take a look at the crystals in this email: what do they have in common?
You guessed it — all are offbeat, original, unusual . . . one could even say — physically impossible — and yet that is how they naturally developed!
What they have in common is that they apparently did not get the memo on how to grow in expected ways, like other crystals . . .
This is how you may want to think of yourself after this New Moon / partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius.
This New Moon / partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius is on Thursday, Feb 15 at 4pm encourages us to open up to
  • new ways of thinking about our hopes, wishes, and dreams
  • expressing ourselves in all the ways that make us unique
  • change in how we view and how we build the supportive structures in our lives
  • investigate the possibilities for communicating our ideas at a larger scale
  • looking into new ways through which we can spread progressive ideas
  • envisioning a creation of communities that will promote greater awareness of all that is beneficial for humanity
  • working together and collaborating in new ways for higher ideals and a greater good
Crystals to help with these are Herkimer Diamond, Moldavite, Chevron Amethyst, Chrysocolla, Clear Quartz (Scepter formation) . . .

Six Stones for Aquarius

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

Using an ally, like a gemstone or crystal, is a good idea for this sign, as they are naturally empathetic to nature, and thrive best when in touch with their spirituality.

Aquarius does well with stones that are light blue in color, as they are the water bearer, but can also incorporate red and yellow.

Stones that offer emotional protection and grounding are beneficial, as water and air need stabilizing and warming.

Silver is a good metal for Aquarius, as it aids in blood detoxification and circulation while removing negative energies.

Garnet is a grounding and protective stone that brings fire, aids with melancholy and is a symbol of love and truth. It is a powerful balancer for air and the erratic influences of Uranus.

This intensely purifying (fire) stone is associated with the pomegranate, a symbol of the feminine, and was greatly valued by many ancient tribes in their search for awareness. Garnet is a medieval stone that is…

Astrology Stones for the Aquarius Woman

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

Aquarius is sometimes referred to as the alien sign of the zodiac and the Aquarius woman wears this label with pride. She is friendly and sociable yet somehow removed as if viewing the world from another realm. Her head is sometimes in the clouds, her inspiration stemming from beyond, she is often considered an enigma. She is a tempest of intellect, independence and innovation, and as a fixed air Sign, she doesn’t like to be told what to do. She follows her intuition as it shifts like the wind.

She is drawn to natural therapies, wind chimes and gemstones that reflect the cosmos. Aquarian astrology stones are imbued with meaning and form the perfect jewels in her otherworldly crown.

Audacious Aquarius Style

The Aquarius woman is the ultimate non-conformist. You will not find her shopping at the local mall; she will pair vintage with handmade and boutique pieces in a style…
