Three Planets Will Slide Behind the Moon in an Occultation. Before the official new moon date 9/20. This isa rare event happening with this moon. Today 9/18 the Moon will block Mercury (Esu/Elegba/Ibeji), Mars (Ogun), and Venus (Oshun) and one of the brightest stars in the sky, Regulus, in the constellation Leo, a few hours after it passes Venus. Venus will ingress in the sign of Virgo 9/20 at the time of the Virgo New Moon.The last time the moon slid past three planets within 24 hours as it will this week was on March 5, 2008 (when it was Mercury, Venus and Neptune), and the next time will be in 7/24/2036, according to EarthSky. Mercury completes it’s post retrograde shadow period on 9/19. These events make this Virgo new moon one of the most powerful moon times in decades.​

This forecast includes 28 days beginning July 23rd through August 20th. It arrives with pinnacle dates July 27th -28th and August 15th. This is that powerful Leo moon previously mentioned which will also pair up to include the 2nd Leo New moon and Solar eclipse of August 21st. The July and August moon times, will set the stage for the grande finale of the February lunar and solar eclipses. The July 23rd moon accentuates the May 10th nodal shifts from Virgo / Pisces to Leo/ Aquarius. The cosmic events that occurred in February, and May are settling and setting a new global foundation during the  solar and lunar times of July and August. Collectively, we’re starting something new, we’ll experience something new, even something or things we haven’t seen before. A sun and moon in Leo 0° in House 1, is special, and many of us will feel special. House 1, “the Ego”, “the I AM”, “the head”, and “leader of things”, is sharing its home with “dramatic”, “the world is my stage”, Leo, coupled with “all should care how I feel” moon. This is an ” All About Me” type of Moon time, though we will be challenged to include the “We” when making important decisions. This Leo moon as well as the upcoming August moons can be considered ‘karmic’ in nature. Though historically, new moons mark the time to start projects, this current Leo moon, is different. What has previously been done will either be locked or sealed in its gains or losses, unless there is spiritual intervention. Hence, this is also considered a “destiny driven” new moon where changes in outcomes happen because of spiritual assistance. Otherwise, what was and is will remain.
During this moon time:
During this lunar time, many will find themselves possibly winning a battle but not the war. However, a strong spiritual constitution is the beginning step towards personal victory. For others, this lunar time will solidify the blessings or good they’ve already acquired. If their previous position was strong, and loss begins to creep into the picture, the strength of their gains overrides the possibilities of losses.
This is an important moon to ritualize, to go into ceremony to secure the blessings one already has, and to amplify it.
During this moon time, the Saturnal (Obaluaiye / Capricorn) energy continues to manifest from July 9th’s full moon time. Saturn will sit in house 5, which is ruled by Leo (Sango/ Uranus) and is feeling quite comfortable in this station. Currently Saturn trines Uranus, this brings stability and creative innovation into agreement with each other. A welcoming order and structure happens to chaos. What previously was out of order and chaotic will allow itself to be re-organized, controlled, ruled, and judged. We are seeing this Saturn trine Uranus brotherhood grow in strength as it moves towards the Sun / Moon Leo and Aquarius Moon times of summer. Chaotic institutional structures begin to welcome structural change. Some members within ongoing chaotic homes will seek to bring order. Though the Saturn / Uranus trine is welcoming order within its chaos, its level of success during this lunar time depends on if those involved have previously started working towards improvements and change, which means they’re more likely to be successful or if they’ve starting now, which means things are likely to remain the same.
Also Saturn residing in Leo’s house 5 visiting Sagittarius has strong ties to the February eclipse moons. On a global level, Saturn’s position in house 5, brings a fixation on the material, finances, and profits which are related to those areas under Leo’s rulership such as Kings, Government Leaders, Presidents, CEOs and High Leadership positions.The combinations of the February eclipses and the current July and August lunar transits point to why here in the USA we are beginning to speak more  about government financial dealings.
During this lunar time other topics involving materialism, resources, inheritance, jobs, health, and wealth will also occur. The dark side of this Leo New moon is found within the transit of Sun (Orun, Orunmila, Leo) Squaring Uranus (Leo, Aquarius). This transit which started July 12th refers to individuals who are prone to dance to their own beat of the drum regardless of the costs or consequences. We find disagreements which may have previously flared up becoming full blown fires which can burn the structure (house, institution) down.
During this moon time the Sun square Uranus transit causes some to take a position of ‘there’s no turning back from confrontations’, and full speed ahead with whatever choices they want to make, regardless of the its outcome. Example: Sean Spicer quitting, now and not before. The dark side of this moon time ushers in new revelations within ourselves and  brings many people into crisis management mode for awhile.
During this moon time, relationships come to the forefront. Harmonious relationships can grow or sour. False relationships can continue as they were  or to decay. Activities within the home and neighborhood become important. Those who pay close attention to the activities of family members and the activities within their neighborhood and surrounding area will fare better than those who don’t pay attention.
During this moon time be mindful at work, especially those who use machinery. The hands and the activities of our hands are important to guard closely now. Hand and tools should be greatly respected. Pickpocketers, purse snatching, and theft especially within crowds is strong during this time as well.

July 27th -28th: Strong personal and collective lessons will be learned because Truth (righteousness) and Falsehood (deception) will be getting into the ”ring” leading up to these pinnacle dates. We have arrived at the 2nd cardinal season of the year. with another stellium (4 or more planets) in the sign of Cancer. Time for our 2nd renewal, and rejuvenation program to begin, what shall that look like? Welcoming the New Moon (Osupa Titun) of Gemini, the archetype of both Ibeji and Esu. This forecasts runs from May 25th – June 22,2017.
This new moon brings with it expressions related to thought, mental clarity, confusion and discernment. We, for the next 28 days will focus much of our mental attention on forms of personal opportunities and the need to be sure of the best direction to take. It is through our ability to connect to our higher self that clear and sure answers come. This is the moon time to be aware and clear of what and who we are identifying and associating with. It is also a good idea to check one’s natal chart to determine where the signs Cancer, Gemini, Aries, and Aquarius are positioned, and what sign Mars resides in.

We can use that analogy and apply it to the lunar messages for this moon time. We must turn back (inward) towards our higher self, which has learned all the mistakes and techniques which makes it the wiser. Through reconnecting to our higher self , our spiritual self, we also then become the wiser, knowing what “to taste” and if it’s safe to “enter the world.”

During this moon time creative mental exploration is in overdrive; there’s an enormous amount of Venus energy flowing. Yet this creative Venus/ Oshun is a bit afflicted being semi-square to both Moon and Sun. This means during this time Venus enhances the Uranus in Aries expression of “goading followers and unscrupulous leaders” because this Venus transit lessens some people’s will power.
For others this Venus transit causes internal creative conflicts, those who experience the scrutiny of others may give too much credence to their critics’ opinions, thus lessening their own value regarding their own work and ideas.
During this moon time some will travel more than they’ve previously done for the past 2 months. If we’re not mentally traveling, then there is physical traveling.
During this moon time, laziness can become an all-embracing issue. Due to mental and emotional exhaustion. Others at this time may choose to take a creative time out i.e secluding themselves to paint, draw, do yoga etc.

Obaluaiye’s planet, Saturn will officially go retrograde April 6, 2017 at 27° in the sign of Sagittarius in house 1. Saturn will later station direct on August 25, 2017 at 21° Sagittarius.

Saturn is the “Lord of Karma” and Obaluaiye, offers the experience of ‘’ we reap what we sow.” The Ancestors/ Egungun identified the overall theme of 2017 as “The Year of the Reckoning.” This is telling, because it means that the dirty, dastardly, deeds which we’ve gotten away with for many years, catches up with us during the ‘Year of the Reckoning.’

The last decade Saturn went retrograde in Sagittarius was Thursday, March 7 1985, 08:04 AM ET; 1 month (+) 1 day (-), and 32 years ago.

Saturn retrograde governs our experiences surrounding maturity, health, self-discipline, responsibility, our fears, loneliness, and anxieties. Saturn retrograde creates a type ‘forced’ isolation. We are ‘forced’ to re-address aspects and elements about our core being which has been a hindrance to our development and growth. This is when we’re thrown into the ‘lion’s den’ so it may feel or seem. We are exposed to the elements of chaos, we face redemption, or ridicule. We come face to face with our own fears and realizations of internal truths, and then we work hard to climb out of the pit. Through the act of ‘climbing out’ of our pits, we develop the psychological and emotional muscle to endure, then to sprint, moving forward in a new direction

Whatever Venus ruled in our lives; if we were undisciplined in its specific area Saturn, will assist us to gain sight of it, and then judge it.
