The Wolf Moon also brings another interesting astrological movement— Uranus moves into Taurus. This pairing can mean a few things, but most expert astrologers conjecture that it means we will experience some extreme weather events in 2018 that will likely be sudden and unexpected. On a more energetic level, Uranus in Taurus also brings our connection to nature into awareness. Taurus has to do with agriculture, food distribution, and finances, so look for lots of innovation and growth in this space. On a more personal level, we may also experience a distorting of technology and ourselves. How have cell phones and addictive apps impacted human connection, mental health, and physical health? While you may already feel the effects of this in your life, this theme will be explored more in 2018. With it hopefully comes to a renaissance of getting dirty in nature and understanding how plants can heal the…

Full Moon In Cancer ~ January 1st

By Brana Mijatovic, Ph.D., Crystal Cosmopolitan
Full Moon coinciding with the beginning of a New Year is quite a rare thing! I would not go as far as to say that it will determine the unfolding of the whole year, but it will certainly give us a big theme to develop within 2018!
Full Moon in Cancer is asking us to take better care of ourselves and understand how important self-nourishment is. The last year has had quite a few dramatic astrological events, and this year should be somewhat calmer, at least in terms of its aspects.
However, we have experienced what it feels like being under almost continual pressure throughout the year, and many people have experienced recurring health challenges.
So I will keep it short and sweet — take care of yourselves and your loved ones much more than ever before. Pay attention to your emotions, your imagination and your intuition and let go of any memories that no longer serve your highest good. Use the Element of Water to help you release those memories. Strengthen the energy of your heart. The stone to work with for this is Rhodochrosite and any other stone that you intuitively choose during the Full Moon on Monday and Tuesday.
Have a wonderful and a prosperous 2018!!
Till next time — stay healthy and happy!

The Astrology of 2018

Over the past ten years, the people of planet Earth have experienced a cataclysmic shift that has affected virtually every area of human life.  Pluto (planet of deep transformational forces) changed signs in 2008, moving from expansive Sagittarius which embraced migration and “one world” culture as well as celebrity and theology into the contracting sign of Capricorn which insists on being practical and creating strong foundations that can’t be buffeted around by the whims of the world.  Pluto then was drawn into a protracted conflict with Uranus, a planet of rebellion and revolution, in the individualistic sign of Aries and predictably, revolutions occurred around the world.  The Arab Spring, the Trump revolution in the US, Brexit in the UK, revolutions in the UK, and a dismantling of governments in Africa and elsewhere (Pluto in Capricorn) by revolutionary forces (Uranus in Aries).

I believe that 2018 will be the year of…

Essential Oils

If you pass through the natural health aisles of your local grocery store, you’re likely to see small glass bottles of curious liquids with poignant aromas that could fill a room. Scents like lavender, eucalyptus, tea tree oil and orange line the shelves next to oil blends with promising labels like Anxiety Release, Detoxification Aide, Energize, Immune Support, Meditative Mood, and more. While some modern shoppers may be speculative of these products, ancient homemade versions of these single note essential oils and essential oil blends have been used for nearly 6,000 years for everything from traditional medical practices to spiritual rituals.

What are Essential Oils?

Essential oils are highly concentrated fragrant essences extracted from herbs, flowers, fruits, and other plants that give them their unique aromas. They are commonly used in perfume, food flavoring, medicine, massage therapy, and aromatherapy to support a general feeling of well-being. Essential oils also “have a potential…
