Here we are again, another Monday, another day in the office.  We’re into the middle of July already, which seems ludicrous, really.  Before you know it, the holiday season will be upon us!

I have something to celebrate, however, and we don’t have to wait for Christmas!  My first book with Creativia Publishing is on promo this week, today through the 16th and you can get a Kindle copy for only $.99!  Yes! That’s right, just ninety-nine cents for Forever!

I spent a bunch of time over the weekend working on a short story anthology that I hope to have ready for the publisher by next Monday, and part of that was working on a story of my own that I hope to include.  It’s a short piece in the world of a novel I hope to write next year, when I’ve finished with Shades and Shadows.  It’s going to be a sci-fi novel and I’m excited to get into it, even if only in a small way.

I suppose I should go pour that cup of coffee and get my day started.  So much to do and all that.  Have a great Monday, Readers!

“We must relentlessly call Congress until they ask for mercy and remove the two offending sections legalizing wild horse killings and enabling horse slaughter in Appropriation Bills…”

Focus on all the member of the House and Senate appropriations committees but also contact your own Congressman and two Senators. This is because, in all likelihood, the two pro-slaughter sections (one removing the USDA slaughter inspections ban and other adding language to allow BLM to kill and sell for slaughter wild horses in holding) will be passed by the appropriations committees since western pro-slaughter folks have the majority and they have already discussed the matter and have allegedly agreed to pushing this to the full Congress to bring horse slaughter back. In my humble opinion, it is a done deal.

When contacting both your own legislators and…

Turmeric Powder Tincture

theheathenhomesteader's avatarThe Heathen Homesteader

When I first met my now husband he introduced me to herbs to help with skin issues. He suffered a skin injury that required almost a year of medical attention but wanted to help his skin in any way he could. So he looked to herbs. The best way to get the herbs he chose to help in his opinion was to ingest them. Now we use many of the herbs he loved in our food and tisanes frequently. Turmeric is one we go through a lot of. It helps with inflammation and many skin issues are the product of other health problems such as this. Check out the link at the end of this post for more in depth information.

When a neighbor/friend asked if I wanted her bag of turmeric she didn’t like (it has a peppery taste that isn’t appetizing to some) I started brewing up ideas…

Capricorn Full Moon 17° in House 10
Sun in Cancer 17° in House 4

Themes: Leadership, Truth, Convictions, Aggressiveness, Expansiveness, Family concerns, Health concerns, Loss vs. Gain, Business ventures, Immaturely carefree vs. Carefree & measured. Self-development, Realism, Authenticity, Setting parameters, Being left out, and Abundantly Joyful.
Welcome to the Capricorn (Obaluaiye) expose, full moon time, this forecast will span 28 days from July 9th – August 6th. This lunar moment rockets forward with a forceful energy which was previously fed by the July 2nd through July 4th transits. Aries 0° House 1, Capricorn 0° House 10, Mars 19°
Cancer, in House 4. Mars (Ogun) opposite Pluto (Oya) = internal conflicts coming to the surface. Our collective consciousness will work through various situations regarding Truths and Deceptions yet, those who look more inward rooting out self-deceptions rather than looking more so outside of themselves for said deceptions will fare better during this lunar season. This lunar season affords many of us much room for spiritual growth and development; the time is ripe for positive internal and  transformative changes which will likely lead to added positive yet unexpected outcomes….During this lunar time our work skills  and our health within our work environment will become a major theme. Those greatly influenced will be health workers, nannies, child care workers, caretakers, teachers, government workers, small shop keepers, tourism, tourist workers, and family members relating or not relating to each other…
Have a prosperous, happy, emotionally balanced, healthy, and self promoting moon time.

Larkspur: July Birth Flower

Featured Image -- 3931

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

The birthday flower of July is the lovely Larkspur, which symbolizes carefree summer days, feeling lighthearted, and just having fun. Larkspur is a highly desirable cut flower with tall spikes of colorful petals that look as perfect in a cut glass vase on the dining room table as they do sitting in a rustic basket or bucket at a casual backyard party.

Many people confuse Larkspur plants with delphinium plants. Although they look similar and are both members of the buttercup family, larkspur is annuals with more delicate flowers in shades of white, pink and lavender. Delphinium is perennials with more substantial flowers in shades of purple, blue, red, yellow and white.

Larkspur blooms from early spring through late summer with flowers that can range in size from a few inches to several feet long in the meadowland species. In Shakespeare’s time, Larkspur was also called lark’s heel, lark’s claw, and knight’s…

Hope Ryden, 87, Revealed the Lives of Wild Horses, Beaver, & Coyotes

R.T. Fitch's avatarStraight from the Horse's Heart

Story by by as published on Animals 24-7

“There was quite a mixed gathering awaiting our good friend Hope Ryden when she approached and crossed the Rainbow Bridge the other day.  Animal and human alike were waiting to render a hand across to the afterlife to the woman who had touched and helped so many.  Animal advocacy is going to have turn up the volume in an effort to fill the void that now looms among us after the parting of Hope; may she rest in much earned peace.  God Bless.” ~ R.T.

”Eventually, I found that they would accept me if I first let them know I was there and then quieted down and stayed put. So I started singing to them from a long way off, as I approached the herd.”
