CRYSTALS + ELEMENTS IN ENERGY HEALING: EARTH

Crystals + Elements in Energy Healing: EARTH

Hi all!

This summer I’ve planned a special series of articles focusing on the elemental energies of crystals (earth, air, fire, water, wood, metal, storm, light) and how those energies can be applied or used to support practical, every day health + healing.

The idea came to me when I was thinking about how we use the elemental energy of some crystals in my Pro Crystal Healer program to help effect healing, like celestite or aquamarine (water), to help reduce inflammation (heat) in the system. Or the elemental energy of fire in crystals (like citrine or fire agate) to help improve digestion, and increase the healing flow of chi in a blocked or ailing part of the system.

I’m always in an energy conversation when it comes to crystals and healing, so I thought it might be interesting to delve a little more deeply into the elemental nature of crystal energy, and how we can work with that elemental energy through crystals to help support us in our wellness + healing process.

I’ll be posting different crystals + elements articles this summer, so you can check back to my blog regularly, or sign up for my newsletter to have them sent directly to your inbox! I’ll also be including .pdf downloads that you can store on your computer or devices for easy reference.

Litha – The Summer Solstice – Northern Hemisphere, Monday June 24 2019

By Nicole Piper, from Sol Path Tarot and Crystal Magick

Litha - Summer Solstice by Nicole Piper

The summer solstice, known also as Litha, is celebrated by modern pagans as the longest day of the year.

There is some quibbling about whether Litha was ever practiced by the ancients, but there is plenty of evidence that ancient people from agricultural areas across the world and from various religious persuasions celebrated midsummer (perhaps not Litha in name) in a variety of ways, mainly for the same reasons.

This is a day to celebrate the sun. The crops are growing, nature is in its full splendor, and the days are warm and seemingly unending. This is a time to honor balance between fire and water.

You can spend the day swimming and end it with a bonfire at night, along with various other traditions like hosting a barbecue (as we Pagans are known to do), spend some time at the beach, hike in the woods – anything that has you out in nature and enjoying the energy and beauty of the sun. It is a wonderful time for love magic and getting married or engaged (handfasting).

If you worship deities, this is a time to honor Ra and Horus (Egyptian), Lugh (Celtic), Baldur (Norse), Apollo and Hestia (Greek), and Juno (Roman) among other solar deities. If you’re more into elementals, give an offering to the fairies or dragons!

You can incorporate crystals into your Litha celebration as well. Sunstone is an obvious choice, as well as CitrineTiger EyeCarnelian, and Garnet.

One way to do this would be to choose a crystal that aligns with something you need help with, for example, if you have been feeling timid or unmotivated, you might grab a Tiger Eye, stand under the sun (use proper sun safety precautions please), and speak your intent out loud to the universe. If you’re not one for theatrics, you might just wear a necklace or bracelet made from the appropriate crystal as you go about your day. Maybe there is a physical problem you could use help healing from or something you really, really want to make happen and need to use some manifestation magic – grab the appropriate crystal and head outside!

Another way to celebrate if the weather doesn’t cooperate or if you can’t spend as much time outside as you like, is to decorate like you would for any other holiday. Fresh flowers, baskets of fruit, ribbons and fabrics in reds, yellows, and oranges would all be appropriate, and you could burn some sandalwood or lavender incense. However you choose to celebrate this day, be sure to give thinks to the sun that brings us life and literally brightens our days.

Best Wishes,
Nicole Piper, from Sol Path Tarot and Crystal Magick

June Birthstone: Agate, A Gateway into the Mineral Kingdom — Good Witches Homestead

In Melody’s book, Love is in the Earth, she describes Agate as closely related to yin-yang energy and balance. This likely owes itself visually to the appearance of agate as the intermingling of light and dark. The inherent contrast in the bands found in Agate could also be why this gemstone is associated with the […]

SCORPIO FULL MOON: A CRYSTAL HEALING RITUAL FOR DEEP TRANSFORMATION

Scorpio Full Moon Crystal Healing Ritual for Deep Transformation / krista-mitchell.com

Scorpio full moon date: Saturday, May 18th 2019 at 5:11pm ET

Scorpio full moons are very powerful.

The energy of Scorpio is intense. It’s full of magnetism, hidden secrets, dark places, fixed focus, embodiment of the shadow self, introspection, persistence, and sensual pleasure.

I always think of Scorpio as the sex and death sign, one of dark magicks being worked in the hob hollow.

Pair that with the potent vibes of a full moon, and you’ve got a heck of a night for conjuring!

The energy of a full moon can be worked two ways: pull or push, manifestation or banishment, depending on when you work it.

Crystals for the Garden

by Jenn Amptman from Feather Spirit Healing

Crystals for the Garden by Jenn Amptman

It’s planting time!

May brings the promise of spring, growth and blooms. What better way to honor the fertility of Mother Earth and provide for her creatures by planting a garden or placing potted plants in your home? Houseplants clean the air, put off good vibes and serve as a daily reminder of the beauty of nature. If you’re outdoorsy, a beautiful garden can provide food for your family, herbs for healing and a delicious buffet for butterflies, bees and birds. Whether you’re an avid gardener or someone that struggles with a green thumb, adding crystals to the mix can help your plants grow stronger, bigger and healthier!

Moss agate is a stone of abundance and encourages the healthy growth of plants and crops. Deeply connected to Mother Earth, moss agate can improve your green thumb and enhance the bond you share with your garden. The beautiful colors of this stone radiate a powerful Earthy vibe, calling in the nature spirits and devas.

Green aventurine has a strong connection with Mother Earth and nature spirits, bringing about a deeper understanding and appreciation of natural beauty. It protects against electromagnetic smog, environmental pollution and geopathic stress.

Tree Agate is another excellent crystal for healing geopathic stress. Associated with tree spirits, tree agate promotes healthy growth of plants and a deep connection to the Earth.

Clear Quartz is the “Master Healer,” with the ability to amplify the energies of other stones as well as intention. Program clear quartz for growth and vitality of your plants and if using a quartz point, bury it pointing up or down, depending on where you wish to direct the energy (roots or leaves/fruit).

Happy Gardening!
Jenn

5 Amazing Benefits of Crystals for Moms

5 Amazing Benefits of Crystals for Moms

Mothers are amazing.

From teacher and caregiver to advocate, chauffeur and referee, a mother’s ability to juggle multiple schedules, tasks, and personalities is no small feat.

Luckily, today’s moms have a variety of options when it comes to replenishing their needs, staying balanced, and growing with their families. One such resource, healing crystals, are at the top of that list.

Much like the multi-talented, incredible moms they assist, gems and crystals come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes – each with special benefits.

Here are five of my top crystal benefits for moms, along with some crystal recommendations for each:

Crystal Benefit for Moms #1: Love. There is perhaps no greater characteristic that a mother needs or gives than love. From baby’s first boo-boo to teen squabbles to everything in between, love’s potent, powerful energy serves mom’s needs, too. When it comes to tapping into crystals for loving energy, Rose QuartzKunzite, and Morganite are classic choices.

Crystal Benefit for Moms #2: More Peace. If mom suffers from a busy mind, a cluttered home, or occasional overwhelming feelings, there are several crystals available to lend her some peace. Blue Calcite and Howlite work to calm energies, while Aventurine clears the mind during chaos or upheaval. On a related front, Hematite and Smoky Quartz are effective at releasing stagnancy and protecting against negative energies.

Crystal Benefit for Moms #3: Better Balance. Most people know how much today’s moms have on their plates. Given that, what better benefit than a few crystals to help even things out? To bring more equilibrium into one’s life, reach for Shiva Lingham and Mahogany Obsidian to ground and balance yin and yang energies. If emotional stability is lacking, Lepidolite, Lithium Quartz, and Sunstone are great bets.

Crystal Benefit for Moms #4: Patience. Whoever said, “Patience is a Virtue”, was definitely on to something; just ask any mom. Fortunately, today’s matriarchs can receive a helping hand in this department from several members of the crystal family. Dumortierite and Black Onyx, for example, enhance tolerance and self-restraint, while Picture Jasper and Pietersite help Mom rise above pettiness and obstacles.

Crystal Benefit for Moms #5: Strength. Whether chasing down a toddler or watching her first-born get married, most moms can benefit from added physical and emotional strength. Top picks for staying physically fit and in shape include ApatiteTiger Iron, and Pyrite. For emotional strength and support, RubyTiger Eye, and Sapphire make the grade.

Like the women they assist, crystals are multi-talented and amazing. They serve mothers in a variety of ways, from boosting love and peace to achieving balance, and building patience and strength.

Crystal Blessings,
Jaime Pfeffer

Make Your Own Paints from Local Rocks: Watercolors, Oils, and Egg Tempera from the Land!

Dana's avatarThe Druid's Garden

Local Iron Oxide taken from a mineral spring, crushed, ground, sifted and made into paint! Local Iron Oxide taken from a mineral spring, crushed, ground, sifted and made into paint!

When I walk along the landscape here, I am greeted with the deep oranges and yellow oxides of our soils laden with heavy amounts of clay and iron.  These colors are reflected each time I dig into the subsoil, and as I drive through the countryside where mountains were cut through for roads. In other places, I might be greeted with reds, blues, or greens, all reflected in the geology of the land. Each region carries its own colors, and you can find the palate of the land in every stream bed.  Even an hour drive in any direction puts one in a new geological region–and this changes the colors of the stones and the soil.   You might think about these colors like a language–each landscape has its own language that you can learn to…

What’s the Birthstone for May?

Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs's avatarGood Witches Homestead

If you were born in May, your birthstone is the emerald, a type of beryl colored green by chromium. Perfect emeralds are among the rarest of gemstones.

The emerald belongs to the beryl family of minerals that include aquamarine (one of March’s birthstones), heliodor, and morganite. Beryl, or beryllium aluminum silicate in chemical jargon, is a six-sided symmetrical crystal. Beryl contains beryllium, aluminum, silicon, and oxygen.

Emeralds vary in color from light to deep green. It’s commonly thought that an emerald’s color derives from the presence of chromium and/or vanadium replacing some of the aluminum in the mineral’s structure. The stone can, however, lose its color when heated strongly.

Several famous historical artifacts were made of emeralds. Among them is the Crown of the Andes, said to be made from emeralds worn by Atahualpa, the last Inca (king) of Peru. The crown is set with about 450 emeralds, collectively weighing…

TAURUS NEW MOON CRYSTALS: A RITUAL FOR YOUR LUSCIOUS LIFE

Taurus New Moon Crystals: A Ritual for Your Luscious Life

This new moon in Taurus invites you to look at the quality, not quantity, of your life.

Slow down, smell the spring flowers, wriggle your toes in the mud after a fresh, spring rain.

Reconnect with the Earth and all her splendorous glory.

There’s great magic in the Spring: the energy of fresh starts, the maiden goddess sowing her seeds of life, the feeling of hope that springs eternal.

We’re reminded to enjoy our lives, the world around us, in great ways and small. For life is fleeting, and precious.

Did any of you dance ‘round the Maypole on May 1st? Weave a wreath of flowers in your hair? Prepare your gardens for the growth of summer?

The old sabbat, Beltane, occurs on the 1st of May, and it initiates a powerful cycle of mysteries and magic – a portal that stays open until the summer solstice in June.

AND, we’re in a time when the sun is now waxing to full – there’s plenty of success vibes to go around, it’s all in how you direct them!

Taurus, ruled by the planet Venus, is a sign of wealth, abundance, beauty, earthiness, simplicity, love, sensuality, and grounding.

It’s interesting to note, too, that cows and bulls were often held sacred by the gods and goddesses of old. Zeus would transform himself into a bull. Brigid was accompanied by two white heifers. Helios had a sacred, beautiful herd kept by two of his daughters.

In runic lore, Taurus can be found in the symbol of fehu – again representing wealth, growth, plenty, status, fulfillment.

So, how can all of this glorious energy in this magical time find embodiment in your own life?

Severing Draining Energy Connections: Waning Moon Crystal Magic w/ Black Obsidian

The new and full moons have become powerful focal points in our community, but when we tune into the additional moon phases (the quarter moons), the magical rhythm of our lives can take on greater form and meaning.

We’ve now entered the 4th quarter or waning crescent moon (until the new moon on May 4th at 6:45pm).

This phase is a deep and internal time of facing that which we need to heal or release, or cultivate in the darker or more hidden parts of ourselves (psychic + intuitive development, past life or karmic healing, and banishment).

It’s timing is elegant and purposeful, because if we use it wisely, it empowers us for the new moon and our intentions.

Manifestation tip: The art of manifestation requires energy + focus. If your energy is split in too many directions in your life, or if it’s being too drained, there’s less potency available to help activate and manifest your intentions into being.

I’ve included a ritual below that will guide you through working with the energy of the waning crescent moon phase, and using a piece of black obsidian to sever draining energy connections that are pulling you away from your potential, holding you back from positive co-creation.
