A federal judge on Tuesday tossed a lawsuit brought by Utah ranchers demanding the Bureau of Land Management remove “excess” wild horses from several areas in the West Desert they say are overrun with free-roaming horses that displace their cattle.
Represented by Karen Budd-Falen, a Wyoming lawyer who sources say is undergoing final vetting to serve as the BLM’s next director, the ranchers argued that federal law requires the removal of horses that exceed population targets the agency has set for particular herd areas. But U.S. District Judge Jill Parrish ruled that roundups are not…

Return to Freedom Wild Horse Conservation and other advocacy groups on Wednesday expressed disappointment in the House Appropriations Committee’s vote opening the door to horse slaughter, but urged supporters of wild horses and burros to keep the pressure on Congress.
“While today’s vote is disheartening for the overwhelming majority of Americans who oppose horse slaughter, there may be critical votes as soon as next week that could further threaten the lives of tens of thousands of wild horses and burros,” said Neda DeMayo, president of Return to Freedom.
“We must redouble our efforts and stand strong for America’s wild horses.”

Energy Producing Crystal Bowls & Ways To Fill Your Home With Positive Energy
Bowls made from various materials. Can be used for altars, decor and creating sacred spaces. Many people will put some items in their bowls to be charged with the energy of the material the bowl is made from.
An altar is an ever-changing, constantly evolving sacred space. It can be as small as a matchbox or it can fill up an entire room. Your altar is a place where you can center yourself, meditate, work magic, or prepare yourself for the day. In short, your altar can be whatever you want to be.
There is no right or wrong way to make an altar: it is a creative act! However, given that I’m constantly being asked how to do it, I figured a few guidelines might simplify the process for those of you who are keen to give it a go!

Public comments due July 12, 2017 by 4:30 pm PT on the BLM’s Preliminary Environmental Assessment (PEA) plans for the East Pershing Complex in Nevada.
Urge ALTERNATIVE C, the NO ACTION ALTERNATIVE in this plan.
Once again, the BLM doesn’t want to discuss reducing any livestock, but intends to sterilize, geld and remove wild horses from their federally protected areas forever.
The East Pershing complex consists of 3 Herd Management Areas – North Stillwater HMA, Tobin HMA and Augusta Mountain HMA. It consists of 4 Herd Areas – Augusta Mountain HA, Humboldt HA, East Range HA and Sonoma Range HA. Of course, the BLM doesn’t have Herd Area Maps on it’s NEW (with much less information to the public) website. This complex consists of 2,191,650 acres in Nevada.
BLM plans to reduce herd sizes from what they…

Wild Witchcraft Plants – Part 2

Invoking, And Banishing The Spiral

Poison Ivy Remedy: Jewelweed Infused Witch Hazel
Jewelweed and Poison Ivy Like Each Other A Lot
As I spend copious time in the outdoors, I often end up covered with poison ivy at least once or twice in the summer.I happen to like poison ivy as a plant a lot–she is beautiful, she is powerful, and she teaches us awareness (more on her soon). But the contact dermatitis that I get from her on a regular basis kind of sucks. Given that, I have a simple recipe that I make and keep on my shelf that seeks the healing power of two other plants: witch hazel and jewelweed. This jewelweed infused witch hazel is a great remedy for poison ivy and clears it up very quickly.
If you can’t find jewelweed, I believe this recipe would be fairly effective with plantain or chickweed. But Jewelweed is really the best.
Harvesting Jewelweed
Jewelweed (Impatiens capensis)…

Documents obtained from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) via the Freedom of Information Act by a Phoenix-based non-profit, The Conquistador Program, reveal shocking and detailed plans to destroy healthy wild horses in government holding facilities as well as those still remaining in the wild on public lands.
BLM employees as well as a USDA veterinarian held weekly “Implementation Team” meetings beginning in July of 2008 in which they discussed and developed strategies aimed at ridding BLM of thousands of mustangs…
