My name is Starr of the Old Style Conjure Shop. I’m fifty-eight year old Conjure Woman living in Texas. I was raised in a family of workers, although they did not call what they did Hoodoo. I’ve been a reader since I was sixteen and started learning about healing when I was eighteen. I took on my first client when I was around twenty-three, before that I worked for myself and family.
I’ve been a teacher off and on for over fifteen years. I’m a traditional conjure worker; there is no new age twist to my work. I’m a writer and have self published six of my own books. I am a partner in Conjure Crossroads, we put on the
Folk Magic Festival in NOLA every year.
